44 new mass with spiculated margins

Im freaking out. My last mamogram was in 2013 as I was pregnant with twins in 2014. They just turned a year.

EVERYTHING I read about spiculated is 90% malignant. Im a Nurse Navigator with our hospital so Im in with the breast Surgeon today at 1115 and then my repeat mamogram with ultrasound is at 1pm. Probably putting the apple before the cart but I need to be on top of this for my babies.

Please send me some positivity and prayers for a benign 10%.

    I just had a needle core biopsy of a spiculated mass that turned out to be a benign radial scar (small complex sclerosing lesion). They're not very common, and they look so much like a tumor that they're usually removed just to check that there's not a real problem hiding somewhere nearby. They do increase your chance of eventually developing cancer by 1.5-2 times, but they're benign. I wish you luck.

    Tish. I never though I would see my grade 7er graduate but now she is graduated by five years and I am still ticking. Focus on kids to distract you or you will go crazy.

    I told my 79 yr old friend that I was afraid I would never see my kid grow up and she said..we don't know what tomorrow will bring to each of us, you all could be hit by a bus, no need to worry. I thought that was rude but the more I thought about it the more it made sense. Worry gets us no where. I worried anyway and it just stressed me. I hope there is not a next time but if there is I am going to try and ride thru the feelings and focus on my family instead. Maybe harder said than done but I am going to try.
