What would Jesus eat?

Options

has anyone red this book? I haven't yet, but I always find myself wondering how to eat better. I definitely feel like we are overexposed to bad food choices, and making better choices is increasingly difficult. In my search for better nutrition, I came across this title. Just curious is anyone has any opinion on this book.

Hi LittleFLower. If you mean the Jesus Christ of the bible (there are many who go by the name of Jesus) then I'd suggest the bible (KJV) is the go to book and thankfully the final authority on all such matters. There are many scriptures in both the NT and OT dealing with food. The bottom line is, with a good dose of common sense, and a few biblical requirements, (ie not eating blood) as long as we give thanks, God will bless it and it is made clean. I rely on this every day!

That said, yes, there are many bad foods today. Personally I avoid if possible GE, processed foods and anything I know has been fiddled with. As far as I know, there is nothing in sugar that is good and I think it has a lot to do with the epidemic of diabetes. I keep that to a minimum.

Musical, I think she is referring to the book What Would Jesus Eat?: The Ultimate Program for Eating Well, Feeling Great and Living Longer by Don Colbert. Some of the things covered in the book are

    • Why foods forbidden in the Old Testament are unhealthy
    • Jesus's favorite foods, including "fast foods" and dessert
    • The health benefits of foods Jesus ate, and the health risks of foods He avoided

I have not read it, so can't help.
