Carbo Plantin

I did carbo/gemzar for 1 1/2 years before I had a allergic reaction to the carbo now I'm just on gemzar. Positive side didn't lose my hair on this chemo it didn't really grow but didn't all fall out like other chemos. Now that I'm just on gemzar hair is growing. Negative side when I first started carbo I had to have a couple blood transfusion, blood platelets infusions, had shortness of breath, severe fatigue, bad night chills right after having chemo. The shortness of breath isn't near as bad now that I just do gemzar nor is the fatigue. I have stage 4 cancer and this chemo worked really well I have had stage 4 going on 3 years it shrunk my tumor down to 1.0 x 1.5 cm. After awhile I got used to it I guess my blood work comes back okay now compared to when I started it. I started doing Nuelasta too that helps. I don't want to discourage you everybody reacts different to chemo you may have no side effects at all I never really had on other chemos and I been on a few different kinds.
