Just diagnosed

    Diagnosed with breast cancer approximately three weeks ago. Had a second mammogram, ultra sound the the right breast, core biopsy and and MRI. Have my appointment with the doctor tomorrow to discuss test results. In a word, "anxious".

    sleeves211 - I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and I am glad that you found this discussion board. I have found it to be very helpful in my journey. I was just diagnosed in September. Try to write down all of your questions (there are good links on this site regarding "questions to ask your doctor") and write down all the answers. This site and Dr Susan Love's Breast book have been good resources for me. My primary care provider gave me the name of the best two surgeons she knows (one of whom specialized in breast cancer) and the name of the best medical oncologist she knew. She also offered to have another patient in her practice call me. I found it overwhelming to have to make any choices at all (even about the surgeon) but talking to others and reading this site helped. Good luck with your doctor's appointment.
