KSusan- your wild surroundings sound divine.
Excellent work testing for and getting no reaction in re: LE. Smart thinking.
Thinking of your sister, you, and your whole family today.
-
Thank you, Katy. I'll be teaching while she's in surgery, so our mother will text me updates.
-
Speaking as a former distance runner, awesome 5K time, KBee!!
-
Ksusan: sending hugs and thinking of you & your family.
-
Thank you.
10/1: Fitbit steps + 1.0 hr T (2.5 MPH) + 60 crunches + 100 pedals + 20 dead bugs + resistance band + 10# lifts [10x4] + Zumba = 7.2 miles
10/2: Fitbit steps =+ 60 crunches + 50 pedals + 30 dead bugs + stretches + resistance band = 5.21 miles
10/3: Fitbit steps + stretches + resistance band = 5.21 miles
10/4: Fitbit steps = 3.62 miles
-
30 dead bugs! Awesome! Unless, of course, they were beneficial insects.
ETA- oops I see it was a total of 50 bugs! Well done!
-
Think Gregor Samsa trying to get up the first morning
-
I have an image that seems odd for an exercise....
-
ksusan... Thinking of your sister and you and your family today.
Sorry for my ignorance but what is a dead bug?

Haha- ks- you are way too clever for me- had to look it up to remember. Now I can't get Jeff Goldblum out of my head.
For me getting up is more like this:
( do you think he's referring to Kerouac?)
-
This, but I'm not doing the arms and the knees come in closer to my torso.
-
great core and ab work- I think I'll get me some bugs today.
-
Ksusan: Hugs to you and your sister.

1 hour spin class, kicked my butt. Raining here in San Diego - we need it, but can I just say wtf, can't it rain at night so I can ride my bike during the day lol?
I know, us Southern Californians are spoiled brats.
-
Yes, you ARE, Theresa. I remember when I moved from Ohio to LA back in the day and people complained about the weather there and I couldn't believe it.
-
Haha. You'd think I would know better since I grew up in Illinois. Doesn't take long to become spoiled!
-
Oh, boy, I need to do some bugs too.....plus a whole lot more! I will as soon as I get the go ahead from the PS. You guys are inspiring!
-
Lynn- I was just thinking about you because I came across this very helpful link about how to find safe cosmetics (I've been ranting). Wanted to share this link/article/website. It mentions Juice products, which you had mentioned on another thread. I think the only way to "UNPINK" (patent pending, haha) October is to vote with our wallets.

I'm returning to this thread as a motivator, though most of you are W*A*Y ahead of me. However: BMX two weeks ago tomorrow. Walked 1.2 miles today and made supper for the three of us. Pretty well wiped, but it has to get better, right?
-
Rainny- I hereby declare you a ROCK STAR!!! You go!
-
1.2 miles and cooking dinner less than two weeks after a BMX is awesome!
-
My sister is out of surgery with a lumpectomy and two nodes taken. Fingers crossed.
-
fingers crossed. When will she know anything
-
Some results back Wednesday.
-
fingers crossed here too.
-
Hi Katy, I saw your post on another thread and read the article. I was happy to see Juice Beauty as one of the good guys! I will call them as I said, just have not had the time since my sister is here going crazy packing me. I feel like I have to help as much as I can, while recovering from surgery. I just stop and rest when I need to. Yes, it is rediculous that all the cosmetic companies advertise with pink ribbons when they have toxic ingredients that actually damage us and cause Breast cancer. Soooo much the public does not know. I know I didn't before dx. and my own research.
-
My fingers and toes are crossed for your sister, Susan. And, rainny, you are amazing to walk that far AND make dinner!
-
10/5: Fitbit steps + stretches + 1 hr T (2.4 MPH) + 120 crunches + 300 pedals + 60 dead bugs + resistance band + 10# lifts [10x4] + 2 60 sec planks + 20 reclined triceps extension = 5.25 miles
-
Katy: I don't know what thread you posted your correspondence on but I just wanted to say, you continue to amaze me. I know what you go through and that you are taking time to write your very articulate letters is impressive.

Set a new record with over 12k steps yesterday!
