I LOVE that guy's performance on Ellen. Thanks for posting, patoo!

Odie, here is another treadmill workout for you to try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZqcG2BcCPU

I will try to get my teenager to do this. I signed her up for the gym. They just launched a special youth rate and combined with other offers, her membership cost just $250 a year. DH says it will still be a waste of money. We will show him it's not.

    Off to Zumba.

Good membership deal HeidiHill. Had a successful class at the gym this morning delivering the new #70 release, in it's entirety. Got the choreography down and now to work on improved scripting. Feels good to have that first class of this release under my belt.*:-)/\:-) high five

The treadmill dancing looks fun, the treadmill interval training....not so much!

I did the FIRM's 500 Calorie Workout, which is really hard (for me)....trying to atone for all that pizza last night. I think it is going to be a yard work afternoon.

i have been MIA this week. I only got in one 30 minute walk mid week and today I mowed again. Mowing and raking for 90 minutes. Got it done before the rain !!!!!!!

Wow I just watched the dancing on the treadmill videos. Looks fun but dangerous

When odie does it and posts her video she will show how easy it is.

Just 2 hours bowling this morning. Don't really consider that exercise but then again, it's movement.

Our Girl Scout campout was cancelled. My troop is Daisies so we were only going for the day. Didn't seem right to give up on having fun so we took them to Balitmore to the Maryland Sciecne Center instead. Less than 3 miles of walking but I'm totally exhausted.

    Goodnight.

Patoo- you are making retirement look better and better. Enjoy that car!

I did it! I completed a very windy, cold and rainy Abolish Breast Cancer 5k this morning. It was a fundraiser for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in memory of a local woman who lost her battle with breast cancer. My broken toe has held me back from doing much training but it felt pretty good today.

Outrunning: Sorry your campout was canceled. There was a big camporee here that was also canceled.

    Patoo: Love your new car!

Ginger: Way to go!!! Glad your toe is doing better.

Due to the rain, the only exercise I have been getting is painting pumpkins for a senior day care in my town. The pumpkins are sold as a fundraiser. Here are a few pictures.

Here's one more picture. I was requested to paint this pumpkin as a whale. It was most definitely a challenge!

Wonderland your pumpkins make me smile.

Outrunning a day with the daisies would exhaust anyone! Definitely counts as exercise.

Well, I've done fib it challenges and gotten in some steps but that's it this weekend. But did add DH to my gym membership. We're hoping we'll get each other there more.

    G'night all.

So cool, wonderland! Way to go, Ginger! You deserve a badge, Outrunning. Can't wait to see a film with you doing the release, Lilac. Getting fitter together sounds good, Reader.

Planning to go to the gym with DD on this rainy Sunday.

Wonderland those pumpkins are very creative. Outrunning I'm sure the kids were disappointed their camp out was cancelled but I'll be there frowns turned upside down when you took them to the science center. LB I am supposed to go to Flow this morning for the #70 release but I think I'm going to have a rest day instead.

Yesterday did Body Combat 65, new release, new moves and my heart rate monitor was on fire, then spent the afternoon and evening at the hospital visiting a friend, poor girl thought she had cold which turned to pneumonia, turns out she has a staph infection in her lung, the culture takes 5 days to grow to make sure they are giving her the correct antibiotics meanwhile she has been in tremendous pain while they keep changing her meds to come up with the correct combination, yesterday after 5 days of this they seem to have it right she is still in a lot of pain but better than when I was there on Friday.

3.5 mi run. 3.25 was goal. Walked a bit when I met it but then ran another .25 back to the car because walking was just taking too long. :)

    Good job, Ginger!

    Fun pumpkins, Wonderland.

Did the treadmill (no intervals or dancing, I just wanted to watch a news program on TV), some abs & worked out in the yard some more....now I am watching the last Twins game of the season, they are out of play off contention but had a chance until the last two games, so that is very good.

Here is something interesting for all of us dancer types (since I do Zumba, read lots, & do the crossword in the paper almost every day, I should be REALLY smart.....although not smart enough to do 6th grade Common Core math..... ):

Wonderland, you are very crafty. Your pumpkins are so pretty!

Yeah Ginger, for healing and raising money for a good cause.

I can see that dance would be good for the brain, because its more complicated. Now if it helps us continue to look like the lady in the poster, then sign me up today!

I walked one hour today and did some light weights. The crowds really diminish on a 55 degree, cloudy day. I saw two couples walking and one other lady today and that was it.

Two, that's because they come down to FL - we call them snowbirds, and they are starting to arrive and will stay here until March/April. I'm new so have not yet experienced the crowds. I'm told it's not as much fun during that time. We'll see.

Biking in New York City traffic would certainly need dynamic and rapid-fire decision-making. Maybe these 75 year olds were using stationary bikes. Looks like I need to go back to doing crossword puzzles now that my daughter isn't asking for my help anymore with Math. (YES!) OR put in more dance hours.

Changed plans and went trail running with DH yesterday since it was such a beautiful day. My time was above average for 50+ women, according to the sign at the end of the trail. I need to cut 2 minutes to make it to "good" and another 2 minutes for "excellent." Stay tuned.

1 hour water aerobics. Our pools are open year round and they only cancel the classes if the outside temp drops below 60 but they keep the water temp at 82.

I am a horse rider, do dressage and show. I had my last ride the day before my mastectomy mid june and not been able to since then until sunday. This is the longest I have been out of the saddle in 40 years. I rode. :D Only a walk around and today had my 2nd ride with a little trot added. I must say being boobless makes it so much better. I expect it will take me months to get my fitness back especially as I am doing taxol atm but it is so good for my soul. :D:D:D:

Karenaus, great you are back on the saddle, literally and figuratively! Cute instructor, Cheryl. I need to try to get pics with mine, too.

Saw this article and thought what a difference Vitamin D supplementation makes. A gain of 25% in muscle strength as opposed to a loss of 7% for placebo.

    http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2015-09/tnam-vds091715.php

30 minutes of wave running with intervals, 30 minutes of BodyJam and 30 minutes playing personal trainer for DD's first gym session. She does not want to do classes.

Interesting about vitamin D my doctor put me on supplements I was very low.  My exercise today was 45 minutes in the gym some weight work and small bursts of cardio in between sets.  Pretty happy with my effort had chemo on Thursday.  Will only get stronger as the days go by.  Karenaus happy to hear you are back in the saddle.  This would definately make your heart sing☺☺☺
