Insurance Plan Discontinued

Just got word that our BCBS of Oklahoma plan was being discontinued. This is the third time in four years. We're self employed so we pay a pretty penny on a monthly basis. I sure am glad to have the no pre-existing condition clause from Obama care but it is a bit unnerving to be hanging out there right now not knowing about next year's coverage. I feel like discontinuing plans is the new way for insurers to discriminate. Whatever. I'm sure something will work out.

    I feel your pain. I got an email over the weekend that our insurer (NY) is being shut down by the state. DH and I also are self-employed, and this plan was the only one on the NYS exchanges that included my hospital. Now we wait to see what is available. Got the news 5 days after my BMX. Called the hospital yesterday as well as the NY State health exchange. Everyone is to get back to me. Good luck.
