cancer free??

Hello everyone, I would like to know when you consider yourself to be cancer free. Is it your one year diagnosis date? Or do you wait till you go for your first Mammo after treatment? Or if my doc said she removed all the cancer from my breast and I've had a hysterectomy and that was cancer free . I'd like to be able to say I'm cancer free, but don't know when to do that.

    After having IDC, I will never feel cancer free. My MO said there is no way to know if anything escaped into my blood stream or lymph system even though my sentinel lymph node was clear. I am NED - no evidence of disease - but will always be watchful for signs that BC has spread behind the scenes. Good luck and I wish the best for you!
