I wish they could tell me what stage I'm at I have a 5cm tumor. I just want to know my treatment, so scared. Both ER/PR positive, they say it's a good cancer whatever, no cancer is good. I am HER negitive. I am really stressed out and wishing I don't have to go through all of this. I was sad a few weeks ago, I got over it and now I'm sad again. My emotions are out of control, just want to sleep all the time. I don't want to go through this, but I know I have too. Anyone out there, feel the same?

Is it invasive ductal or lobular ? One is cancer from milk ducts other the lobes. You could have insitu meaning it is confined stage 0. Have you had the sentinel lymph node biosy? This may be done during mastectomy, if no nodes are involved the stage maybe 2. These days the stage alone doesn't dictate the treatment. It is good to be hormone positive because you may benefit from hormone therapy.

Try not to worry about the 5 cm, wishing you the best pathology.

    Hi kekekatty-

We want to welcome you to our community here at BCO. We're sorry you find yourself here, but we're glad you've joined us, and hope you find the support you need!

The feelings you described are very, very common. Many people find themselves on an emotional roller coaster following their diagnosis. If it gets to be hard to manage, we would suggest talking to your doctor about starting an anti-depressant. Many of our members have found them to be very helpful.

Good luck on your surgery, we'll be thinking of you!
