HER2+ folks, what were your CEA, CA 15.3 or CA 27.29 results?

My CA27.29 results were always right in the middle of the normal range from the initial test at diagnosis, throughout treatment and every follow up after the end of treatment (8 1/2 years since the end of chemo).

I was not tested before treatment, but wished I had been. It makes more sense to me that you would want a baseline and then follow trends. When I finished treatment, my MO said in an off-handed way that she follows TM's (27-29). Hhmmm.... Anyway, mine stayed in the low to mid 20's until a bout 2yrs ago then went to 48 (norm<37) She said inflammation. They dropped down to 38 after that and the issue was dropped. This past Jan they went to 54, then over several months to 41. In June I thought I felt a lump in the other breast (last saw MO in March) but then could not isolate anything. In July I felt something again while leaning over the washer removing clothes. Now I could feel it. Waited through one period, still there. Had US done, BIRADS 5. Had lab work done and CA27-29 665. Liver enzymes up also, 4-5x norm. I had a CT today and a PET next week. Not to optimistic about any of it now. In hind sight, I should have pushed for a deeper exam and scans back in January.

Well not good news. CT and ultrasound revieled large and diffuse Mets to lower half of right lobe and a good portion of the left liver. Also several lymph nodes enlarged. Biopsy tomorrow for both sites and port placement. MO wants to start chemo next week, and treat aggressively. Just stunned.

Just got my lab results from the 16th. Liver enzymes higher and the 27-29 is 1220.5. HHMmmm.....
