Walking off my dinner as I am typing (strolling along the river bank not very far from where we live). The sky is beautiful. I can hear chorus of insects chirping and frogs croaking.

LOL Loverly, I know you have tinnitus. You hear the chorus all the time. Me too. What's nice about being in an area where the real chorus is going on, it's nice to think we're normal. The few moments in time that the chorus has stopped over time for me, I was in awe-----------silence

Enerva, Hi sweetie, since we talked by PM , It won't seem strange that I go on and on about how wonderful it is to see you here. :) Labs: slight abnormality on the red blood cell(RBC). The HGB -hemoglobin is normal. Hgb is attached to the RBC. Basically, the small decrease in the red blood cell count would be considered insignificant. None of the other parameters are outside normal. Red blood cells live for three months. If you are concerned you could have a recheck in 3 1/4 months. The HBA1c is 5.7 in the USA that is considered borderline at risk for diabetes, but according to your lab report 6.0 is normal. Did a relook it says the same as ours. Checked your bio, I'm guessing you are on tamox? Any hows you should talk with your doc about a plan to monitor your HBA1c on an agreed plan. All the drugs(many) mess with glucose metabolism and glucose resistance. Another gift of BC. I invite you to a thread I've been working on re: weight. In the learning process I discovered the Microbiome. It's very interesting. Lot's of current research. Allot of stuff related to glucose metabolism and glucose resistance. I'll link to it.

Your comment that you had to do a repeat lab b/c your Potassium(K+) was 6.0 which now is 5.1. The kidney is very efficient at maintaining sodium /potassium levels. A 6.0 K is unusual. Have a chat with your doc about reasons why this may have occurred. A plan to watch this for awhile is reasonable. Perhaps every 3 months for a year would be reasonable. Also, ask if you should be evaluated by a Nephrologist. The are the kidney guru's. Me I'd go for the Guru. Canada is weird on sending patients to specialist. My approach is let the specialist do the evaluation and establish the plan that the PCP monitors. A 6.0 potassium is unusal. Okay---being bitchy---fight for the nephrologist referral. Use the HBA1c in risk range and elevated potassium as cause.

What's your BP? Suggest getting a BP monitor and keep a record. Monitor at rest at awakening after voiding if bladder full. Consumer Report has done evaluations for many years. Omron is the best, but Walmart has their store brand Reli-On that has Omron technology at half the price. I have one of each. I wouldn't hesitate at all in buying the Walmart brand Reli-On.

The reason I'm talking about blood pressure is the elevated potassium, that seriously has to be monitored. Blood pressure is effected by the kidney. It's a whole loop mechanism>>blood chemistry>>brain>>. etc.

Okay about now you are getting anxious. Deal with the present. Work out the plan. You are in monitoring phase and getting the right doc evaluations.

    Hugs sweetie

Blondie, totally sucks. Fill in the blanks on the Pm thingy and I'll start on it on Monday when the people are at work.

On the DBF scene, he may have crossed a line.................still thinking about it............what a schmuck.

On the DB Charlie scene, I'm pissed. His hemoglobin is moving up 9.8. That's good. His Platelets are now about 595,000( 150,000 t 450,000).

    Platelet count 150-450 billion/L
    (150,000 to 450,000/mcL**)

That's seriously bad---clot time>>stroke etc. He had several drug interactions. I work out a plan on Genelex that reduces them to basically zero. Instructed him to call his doc. about Platelets and drugs with the reasons Today I call, he hadn't called. Yelled at me that if the doc thought something was wrong with his bloodwork taken by the HH nurse, they would have called him. Which also, told me he didn't think the drug interactions were a problem. They mostly were kidney related. He just lost half of one kidney. May end up a total loss. He expresses to everyone he wants to protect the kidney's since our dad was a dialysis patient. Go figure.

sass that makes lots of sense . I was sick with a throat infection and after that I had urine infection so my potassium spiked up high so I was asked to do a repeat after I took 7 days of antibiotics. So it's important to know all may be related to that episode. I ll show this results to my new oncology Dr whom I ll see this Monday for my 2 years mark check up.

Thanks you do much I love you you always manage to give us information which we don't get from our own Dr.

Hope you have an amazing weekend

Our neighbor Chris, asked for us to "baby-sit" Thanos... His little Pup.... He is the most GENTLE guy... and loves to run around our yard in front when I clap my hands, but I wouldn't have any lawn left, if we did this for long...

When he had his ears "clipped", he was allergic to the tape, so after 3 attempts, his poor little ears just don't look normal.... but a great dog anyway....

Yes! I DO have a "pole".... It is easier than a cane... then I ordered one online.... and it works good too...Had to put on a rubberized foot.... The "tip" wasn't good for walking around here.... I haven't used either for awhile, but with this trouble, I've been using them again.... At least I can sleep now...... Only take the Oxycodone when I really need it... like in the morning, and before I go to bed... Beautiful work little Enerva!

Ms. Sas, why is his platelets up now? I know how frustrating it is when family don't listen to you. Mom has diabetes, high lipids, and htn- syndrome X. She hardly listens to my advice, but will listen to her friends' who are not even in the health field sigh.

Enerva, great talent you have there. Crochet??

Ms. Chevy, good to hear you are not only up and about, but also dog sitting Goliath. My gosh. He is probably bigger than the both of us put together. Is he a Great DaneHe is a beauty. And btw, you are too!

Mommy, I admire you for taking the writing class. Wish I could go back to school and pay more attention this time and relearn how to write properly. Always have problems putting my thoughts down in writing. On second thoughts, never mind. Writing and thinking hurt my brain. I would love to take a photography or psychology class as long as it doesn't invole any writing.

Freyfrey, are you enjoying eating again now that your taste buds are on their way back to normal

As soon as I get time I ll start crotcheting for the winter .

Went to an ordination at my church this afternoon for one of the young men of our congregation who has become a pastor. First time I've ever been to one and it was nice. The sermon by our pastor was a bit long but it was funny at points. He snuck references to the movie "Wayne's World" into it. They had a nice reception after the service for him. While at the ordination today, I had a chance to catch up with a friend I haven't seen in a while that I started college with back in '07.

scheez!! 2 pages behind. This is what I did today. Got 4 10" blocks done. It will take 20 to go around the panel. It will have a black border around it too so the blocks will fit. Don't know when I'll get it done. I do like it so will have to work it in so I don't have another UFO.

    Gong back to read.

So you understand what it's suppose to look like, this is the sample from the teacher.

We had 17 in class. No 2 alike. Some are going to be fabulous!

THIS is the giant "whatever" flying bug that I saw on my Orchid plant! I think he is contemplating making this plant his Winter home! I thought it was a leaf at first, but ran to get my camera... He is almost as big as THANOS! I must stealthily move the pot under the tree, and gently lift that sucker OFF MY PLANT!
