One year appointment today with breast surgeon

This afternoon I go for my one year check up with my breast surgeon. I have no friends that have been through this so I really have nobody to talk to other than my family that is good at listening but as to be expected, they don't understand how scary this all can be still. My question is...if you had a BMX do they typically do scans at all? My onco does bloodwork every 4 months but I'm curious about scans....

    We're sure other members will weigh in shortly with their experiences on follow-up appointments and whether or not scans are done. Sorry, we don't have the answer on that.

    My BS said that she would not do any mammograms, US or MRIs unless there was evidence that there was a problem.  She said since I had a BMX, there would be no need to a mammo.  She said right now to continue monthly breast exams.  My MO said that he just monitor me every three months through blood work and from talking with me.  Makes me kind of weirded out, but I have to have faith that they are the experts.
