Waiting for results .. Is this really going to take a week :(
Had a core biopsy done on Tuesday .. Waiting for results . They said it could be a week ! I'm going to go crazy .. Doctor Found a new mass on my left breast by ultrasound that wasn't there last year .. He said it had irregular edges . My PCP had started me on Progesterone oral pills just last year ... Does anyone have experience with BC after starting that hormone therapy

Unfortunately, results can take up to two weeks in some markets. Some come back sooner than one week as well. Mine took 2 days. Just try to stay positive and keep mentally busy until you get your results. Stay away from Dr. Google. He won't help.

My initial results (yes cancer) was available the next afternoon, which really surprised me.
The hormone receptor test results weren't available until almost a week later. Biopsy was Thursday morning and results came in Wednesday afternoon.
Before we did the biopsy, my radiologist and nurse coordinator suggested that I contact the OB/GYN that ordered the mammogram and ultrasound to let her know that the results would be coming in and to keep an eye out for them.

I spent to much time on google and now all confused and anxious.I had a mammogram sept 9 2015 radiologist results read benign calcifications.slight increase in the nodular asymmetry seen within the upper outer quadrant for which spot compression view and ultrasound would be helpful for further evaluation.no evidence of microcalcification or pathological skin change.there are lymph nodes seen R and L axilla. Then on sept 16 had ultrasound the tech spent some time measuring this area,I expierenced quite a bit of pain.I then went to mammo room and had eight compression views done with a lot of pain again, very sore and tender still. My left breast enlargement and pain was reported to my Dr.last year but mammogram was normal, except bilateral lymph nodes axilla.waiting results please help!I do auto immune disorders for 14 years including lupus, have been on long term medication.anyone with similar auto immune disorders with breast cancer or test abnormalities?sorry maybe TMI.

Star1961, we're sorry you're here in the waiting room too. Please keep us posted on what your results turn out to be.
To answer your question, we do in fact have a forum for members who have a breast cancer diagnosis along with another diagnosis or comorbidity; but of course, we suggest you only posting there if you do in fact receive a cancer diagnosis. We're sending all our positive thoughts that you won't!
Thinking of you,

I'm waiting on stereotactic done on Tuesday. Mamogram indicated BiRAD 5 for DCIS. The whole loss of control over my life in this process is what's getting to me. I was a mess at the biopsy yesterday, but was really offended that the nurse asked me for a smile before I left, and I told her this wasn't a smiling matter. Imagine asking a patient whose life is being turned upside down to smile about the process. I am still offended! And to top it off, the radiologist office has not called yesterday or today to see how I was doing after the procedure.
