Nipple Surgery - Yes or No?

Hi ladies!!

Next month I'm scheduled to have nipple surgery to make middle nibs on my breasts. I've looked into 3D tattooing and it looks impressive, but I like the thought of that and protruding nipples. I talked to a tattoo artist at Vinnis Myers place and he said he's seen some good ones anagood umber of bad ones.

I'd love to hear back, if you've had the surgery: Happy? Wish you hadn't? Just went for tattoo?

Please, I'd love any and all input.

Thank you.

-Amy

I had nipple surgery and so glad I did. Very happy with outcome and with Vinnie's work also afterwards.

AmyA - I never even considered nipple reconstruction (but that was simply my personal preference - many women want that option) and went straight for two Vinnies. I couldn't be happier and would do it again in a heartbeat. Vinnie's work is spectacular, and there's a lot to be said for even the illusion of nipples. I would never have believed it prior to getting mine, but those two little tattoos have a huge impact on you both psychologically and emotionally. (They still make me smile.) PM me if you'd like to see a picture, and good luck with your decision!

Thank you for saying so!! The pictures on his site I'm most drawn to have the nipples. I have always imagined I'd have them and still want them.

Hi Amy - I'm scheduled with Vinnie in January and had my nipple reconstruction 2 weeks ago. I am VERY happy I decided to have it done. It's an in office outpatient procedure that takes about 20 minutes. No medication. I drove myself to and from the appointment. I've had a lot of reconstructive surgery and I agonized over whether or not to bother with this. I also didn't want headlights when I wear clingy clothes. However, as soon as I saw them I was delighted. They look like real nipples and give a much more natural appearance to my breasts. There is the slightest impression through my clothes and I actually like that it's there. Vinnie does the 3D tattoos whether you have nipple reconstruction or not. I also know women who have chosen not to have the nips done and that was the right decision for them.

I just came across this thread. Could someone tell me who Vinnie is? I had my tatoos in 2005 and they are completely faded away. I also have reconsructed nipples and although they look very good, I would not get them if I had it to do over. The tatoos were so impressive and realistic I felt I didn't really need them and I don't like them showing with clingy clothes, although they don't show very much. I never wore a bra before and I definitely don't now. I'm sure the nipples are far better now. It was called a Bostwick C-V flap. What ever that is lol.

HLB - The Vinnie we all refer to is Vinnie Myers, a world-renowned 3D nipple and areola tattoo artist. (Google him - you'll be amazed.) Here's a link to his website:

    http://www.vinniemyersteam.com/

When you go to the website, click on any of the pictures of the artists (Vinnie, Trent, or Paul) and it will take you to a little bio of each one with a small gallery of their work. The tattoo shop is located in Finksburg, Maryland, just outside of Baltimore. Call the shop at 410-876-4638, and they can answer any and all of your questions. When I went, I flew into BWI, rented a car and drove out to Finksburg which was an easy 20 - 25 minute drive on the freeway, but I see that you're in Pennsylvania, so you're practically next door.

    Good luck to you!
