I had an mammogram done, and it showed "something". After more mammograms and an ultrasound they did an ultrasound guided biopsy. I was really nervous after reading how painful this was. Personally, I had very little discomfort and no real pain. Wanted to get that out there.

Fast forward, it showed cancer. I had a lumpectomy done July 31, margins were not clear, had re excision surgery on Aug 21. Margins still not clear, and have multi focal DCIS. I did not have much pain with either if these, only with the drain and the aggravation that all brings.

I will be having a mastectomy, have met with the plastic surgeon and will meet with the oncologist tomorrow. Waiting for my surgery date.

I know I am just at the beginning of all if this, but wanted to post that the procedures done so far have been physically ok, mentally I try not to borrow trouble and stay with what I know us fact.

I am so glad this community is there and have found a wealth if information.

    Best wishes!
