    Yay, Gingeel!

Mamajencoz: Criminy! I've got an RO's office that gave me a product I'm allergic to, and now claims that the allergy isn't in my chart. Since I told the 3 times, I'm thinking of saying, "Then the issue seem to be malpractice." This is an RO at the facility where I fired my MO because (among other things) he told me I'd take tamoxifen, then said, "Actually, I didn't check if you were menopausal."

Slower-growing areas fall out later. It's a drag, but they'll be back!

    Waltzing Matilda Tom Waits style

Actually not my favorite version , but the accompanying video won me over. And Tom Waits forever, yo.

Tom Waits gives me goose bumps. I'd never heard his WM. Haunting. I only knew the original bush ballad like so:

Waltzing Matilda bush ballad with lyrics

no...in fact I had to look the reference up. Another ballad poem or is there a twist here and more to it?

I enjoyed reading the poem anyway. 😁😂😁

    Hi all!

    Ksusan - great rap, LOL!!!!

    Congrats Karen!!

    Littleblue, love the faux hawk!

All well here 9 weeks PFC. I have some hair growth! On my scalp! Just in the last week it has taken off. Like a Chia Pet. Rads are going well still but I am getting a tiny bit pink in some areas.

The weather here on Vancouver Island has turned a bit cool and after 5 months we have had RAIN! It is wonderful.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Labour Day long weekend!

    Andrea 😃

just curious how soon after chemo ends will I start to feel like myself again? When will the brain fog, fatigue, and headaches go away?

Addie, you might start feeling better whenever any of those SEs lifted during your treatment (for me, 1.5 weeks out), then continue on a trend of mostly feeling better from there. You may get some "flushes" of chemo as you exercise, lose weight, or metabolize, and you may get some post-chemo fatigue.

Addie- my MO said the rule of thumb was 6 weeks to start feeling normal. That is TO START to feel better, though others bounce back more quickly. And it could take six months to really feel yourself.

I tell you this not to discourage you, but to help normalize what you are feeling. I was really DOWN for weeks after my last, end of June. So two months PFC for me and I'm starting to feel very good. I went back to PT, got evaluated for truncal lymphedema (and yes) and started going to a chair yoga class. But none of that until about 6 weeks out, and deportation complete. All I find is helping, and as I get more energy, I can do more, which in turn gives me more energy. It will happen for you. I hope very soon.

Addie - I started to feel "normal" again about 3 weeks PFC. Now I feel great but tired now and then, while going through radiation.

My MO told me to double the total time of treatment and that is when I can go back to work. So six months for surgery, chemo and rads means another six months for total recovery.

I am way behind; can't get to last page on my phone.

    Congrats Karen!

Ankle dolphin, it is common for eyebrows and lashes to fall out s few weeks after chemo. Unfortunately since their growth cycle is reset to all at the same they may fall out again in a few months. I am fearful mine may not return this time since they have been gone for 3-4 months. I was excited when I got 3 new brow hairs, but they all fell out too. I still have no nose hairs yet either.

Addie, I am 3.5 weeks out and am feeling better other than some lingering fatigue and shortness of breath with exertion.

    Jen, I love that Mohawk!!!!!!!!

The 3 day break from rads is nice, but I could have probably used it more in a few weeks. My breast is light pink and quite swollen for being so early, but it has no crazy geometric shape outlines yet. That fun is yet to come. We hosted over 100 people at our house Ssturday for our post chemo celebration
