    Hello farmladync,

Did your doctor give you results of your oncotype test and whether or not chemo would be beneficial to your particular breast cancer? If not, you should ask for the results of this test so you can make an informed decision on what to do. I do know that triple negative BC almost always are recommended to have chemo and sometimes rads as well as it is known to be more aggressive than ER+ BC but am not an expert on any of this so ymmv. Please make sure you make the decision that YOU can live with and are most comfortable with after you have all of the information available to you. Either way, I wish you the best and hope someone who can speak to this more than I can comes along to comment.

The oncotype test is only for hormone positive breast cancer. As TNBC is aggressive, aggressive treatment is always recommended. Chemo and rads are doable. I was able to work basically full time through all of my treatment. I realize others may have had a harder time, there are meds to help alleviate the side effects of chemo. Best of luck to you.

    Good Morning Farmlydync,

If you would like to avoid further treatments you may be interested in reading about the natural things I used to treat my 9 cms. of tumors spread across both breasts. http://healingwithcate.tumblr.com

I have only just begun writing, but have some breadcrumbs you can follow. I am willing to offer you more than what I have written down so far if you would like to correspond. Lightly working with others still on the cancer journey helps me to understand and organize what is most critical to write about for where people are.

I hope this helps. Let me know. You can email me from the site.

    Hugs, Blubelle

Hi, I was dx in September 2014 with tnbc. It has been a ride to day the least 8 rounds of chemo surgery mastectomy left breast with 10 nodes positive. 33 days of radiation and finally thought I was cancer free. Finished radiation May 29th 2015. After many weeks of recovering from radiation I finally thought I'm back on track and doing good. Then all of a sudden shortness of breath started and I went to doctor had CT scan to find fluid on left lung or pleural effusion. Drained fluid August 27th to find cancer cells in the fluid. I'm waiting now for a PET scan as doctor said cancer mat be hiding out somewhere. I'm scared and confused. Has anyone else had anything like this through their journey?
