Gearing up to start another class towards my Bachelor's Degree. Thank Goodness its all online and I have had the instructor for another class before.
-
Yes, always a plus taking an online class with a former OK instructor.
Didn't have online classes when I went to college over 39 years ago.
Wish You Luck!!!
-
Mommy- good job on continuing on with your education. What are you studying for? Like Teka, when I went to college and then grad school awhile back. In the late 1970's to mid 1980s, everything was on campus, no evening classes, etc. I love the classroom experience, but also find you have more options with schools and programs with on line. I completed a certificate program by doing part on line and part on campus four years ago.
Wishing you the best.

Leaning toward either History or English major. Thinking about applying to SNHU online, had planned on it before but at the time I had a lot on my plate and hubby didn't think I would have been able to concentrate, but he thinks that I should start looking into it again and maybe start no later than this Winter. I have taken several classes online and I love it, the instructors make it so easy to follow the course schedule and get things done on time.

Reminder, dwill retiring after 2015-2016 school year!
I would be counting the days while making plans and more plans for 1st year of retirement.
-
Mommy-you are past a lot of things now to be able to focus on a degree. You go for it, it sounds like you have a great school picked out to do this too!
Teka- how do you remember such amazing facts about people? Where is Dwill anyways?
-
I read prior public posts on the threads.

Hope dwill is only taking a time out from the threads!
-
Yep, hopefully things will go smoothly for me so I can finish my education goal
-
Teka- you are a good soul. I think schools have started just about everywhere, except maybe furthest to the east. I know we always started after Labor Day.
I hope Dwill has a good last year and a nice retirement party next spring!
-
Schools in my town started this week. My class starts at the end of the month.

This is for the cat lovers (and you know who you are). Did you see this video of these kittens swimming to the boat be rescued?
-
That was on my local news over the weekend

Jazzy, Thank You, such a heartwarming video!
August has gone zipping by!

Just saying hi..........think of you all, very worried aromasin has affected my hips badly but been waiting for density scan since November 2014.........need to decide about going back on it in 3 weeks time after proving to the ONCO that 90% of my symptoms were caused by Aromasin.........
-
Just sitting here prepping for the day ahead which includes laundry and finishing that blasted essay for my Great Books class!
-
Lily- thanks for saying hi and sorry to hear the AIs are creating issues for you. They are a difficult drug (I take anastrazole) and have had a decrease in bone density, but started Prolia shots this year to help manage bone loss. I hate taking drugs to mitigate the effects of other drugs. The only big winners here is the pharma industry. I hope you can get your bone density test to find out what is going on. That is a long time to wait for the test, but know you are in a different healthcare system.
Mommy- good luck with that essay. I know you can do it!
-
Essay is done and sent in! Can we say.... relief!
-
*RELIEF*
A bird seed escaped. -
Mommy- assignment #1 is done! Yay!
Teka- love the baby sunflower!
-
Glad its done! Not looking forward to the next one!
-
Mommy- going back to school is not easy at any age. But you will get used to the whole concept of assignments and due dates. Life is filled with things to do and due dates to get them done. You can do it!
-
M0mmy, my mother got her bachelors degree in social work at age 65. I can't even get off the couch.
-
Been doing this since '07, so I am pretty much used to insane assignment schedules, its just some of the stuff the professors assign for reading material.
-
I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend! This week our state fair begins!
-

-
Teka- maybe you were at some bad movies recently?
