Sorry! I'm pretty itchy today, too (and pang-y in the underarm)

Marksgirl, it's probably fine. Lots of women seem to have the kind of pain you describe. Check with your RO anyway for peace of mind.

alibeths, the itching is the worst! I get is so bad. I have found hydrocortisone and Advil to work. Both are anti inflammatory.

14/20 done! Yay. So over rads. The ladies who go 28 or 33 have my deepest sympathy. The tech today asked me how my day was going. I said good but then had to come here, and she said don't you feel like this is a nice break in your busy day? (she was serious) I almost said wtf? But instead I laughed and said. You can go with that.

Omg, seriously? I love having my boob fried everyday, it's what I always do for relaxation. (Insert sarcasm here)

Humidity, huh? Didn't know that. I'll have to ask my techs, though I'm only counting to 5-8 for mine.

I begin radiation on 9/9. The rads nurse told me I can use Toms deodorant during treatment. She did say if armpit hair begins to grow back I should not shave. I hope this info is helpful.

Curious indeed how the different facilities work! My husband and I rather got the impression from my RO's staff that I could use antiperspirant (the kind with aluminum) during treatment, as long as I didn't have any skin breaks, but COULD NOT wear it while actually receiving the rads.

MariaTeresa: my sympathetic support. That's one rule I'd be desperately tempted to break, had my RO's nurse not given me the go-ahead. My only guess is ask!

Thank you thank you KSusan!!!    I am a little ticked off I am sore in my armpit.   I was celebrating being done - not looking for things to worry about!    I see the MD on Thursday.   I am thinking/hoping it is scar tissue from the surgery.    CaMommy, OMGosh to think that rads might be a nice relaxing moment in our day - Good Grief!!!   

I pitched the Tom's as soon as I was done.   I don't think the radiated portion of my armpit is sweating yet anyway.   Hang in there everyone.    It will be over soon!!!!!!    

Caffeine's good for what ails you.

I slept at mid-day. Skin around the end of my incision is tight, but color is fading to splotchy brown above the incision. My ROM feels a little constrained but still okay. Took a bath with epsom salts, which seems to have helped, followed by moisturizer.

Marksgirl, I'm curious to hear what you find out. I'm two months post rads and having some soreness too. My soreness is between the armpit and the breast. Could be breast tissue, could be lymph nodes. I get an ultrasound on Friday.

Because I took my clothes off twice already for strangers and didn't get paid...

Also my Rad tech refused to just...kind of...aim Hester at my upper lip.....cause dammit I now have a ladystache as of last night. No love. I get no love.

Sometimes I do LOL! So, will radiation flatten out this scar? BONUS! I still look like a walrus. A walrus covered in schmaltz. Who strips for free. I sense a country song coming on!
