Ct Scan is tomorrow. Praying for good news!
-
Clarrn - thinking good thoughts for you today.
-
Clarrn: in first class on the Crazy Train, of course. In your pocket.
Hope I didn't freak anyone out TOO badly with the lamprey image; my imagination's been running wild the past few weeks, not surprisingly. I think it wasn't just the shape of the machine as a whole, but the plates inside the head shifting around as the techs ran through the rads procedure that made me see that. Bleep but that thing looks like it's opening its mouth....
-
my rad machine poofedout one time during my treatment and I had to lay there when the maintenance guy came to fix it ... They covered me tho.....
The machine is a scarey thing actually IT does circle around you so innocently but does so much damage at the same time.
-
Clairn,
my prayers

What movie is the lamprey in? this all sounds familiar, but like my breasts, I have lost my memory!
Ducky, I love bobby's thighs, my favorite part of their fat little cuddly bodies!
Today, is my one year anniversary of the big butchery, double mastectomy, Wish I could go back to the future and approach a few things differently. Got up early today, to approach the day in a different way. Hope to change it up!
Not sure what that will look like, but it has to look better
-
Clarnn- thinking of you. No news. Nothing to report!
Mommy- also sending mojo your way for the CT tomorrow.
kathy- happy anniversary NOT. it's a milestone you can't help observing, though, but I really like what you said about approaching today differently. Good for you!
I'm off for a routine blood test (is there such a thing as " routine" anything any more?) and lymphedema treatment. Then Jack the wonder dog and I have a visit to memory care.
I think I'll take a back seat on the bus just in case.
Sula- I howled with your image if old dudes with butts in their air. I thought it deserved a yoga pose name. Trying to think of one. "Old dudes with ass cancer?" So bad.
Tutti was doing kitty yoga yesterday. This is "kitty catching fly on window screen". Somehow it resonated with my random feelings of panic at times.
Hope everyone has a lovely day, except for all the rare cancers cropping up in a daily basis.
-
Kathy: I don't know if lampreys feature in a movie (NOT watching it if they do!). The movie I was thinking of in connection with the rads machine was 2001: A Space Odyssey.
-
I'll be glad to have the scan over and done with!
-
Good Afternoon Crazies,
I woke up this morning with cancer of the lip. I guess my nerves got the better of me, and I managed to bite my lip and cause a scab. Because I have left sided cancer, it's naturally on the left lower lip.
Clarrn, Any news on your scan?
M0mmy, good luck on your scan tomorrow!! We will all be in your pocket. We've had so many pocket parties lately, I'm thinking Sula should start making us some of those tasty treats to take along. You don't mind crumbs in your pocket do you???
koshka, I don't think I would have liked being stuck on the rads table. Especially when they are in the middle of maintenance!!
Kathy, Good for you for changing it up!!
Katy, Hope all goes well with your blood test. I have to do a fasting blood test, but with all the food that's been flashing on the screen, I can't stop eating long enough to do the test!! haha
Tutti is a cutie patootie!! That rhymes!! Yes, I know, I'm easily entertained.Sapphire, If I calculated correctly, you are now finished with chemo???? YAY!!!!
Tomboy, I hope you're feeling better today!
Ducky, I hope you get multiple offers on your house and a bidding war ensues!!!
Lucy, How are you feeling today??? Tooth sore??? Thinking of you!!
I typically get my best sleep early in the morning. Early this morning my DH got up to turn the fan off and he accidently knocked over my candle holder. There was glass everywhere!! So there he was at 3:00 am running the vacuum. That set off a whole series of events. Woke me up....woke the dog up....made the dog want to go out to potty....made the dog think it was time to eat....made the dog whine for the next hour. We finally all got back to sleep and his alarm went off at the usual time - 4:30. We finally got back to sleep AGAIN and the phone rang. I gave up. Hopefully I'm not too cranky today!!
Love to all!!
P.S. How would you all like to live on a street called Toe Jam Hill? It really does exist!! -
Slow - thanks for that last posting. My dear sweet long departed MIL used that phrase.
-
just got my daily exercise at the Farmers' Market. Went commando. Feeling brave. Here's some eye porn for you:
I am not part of the porn.
-
sexy veggies!
-
definitely sexy on the veggies, love farmers markets
-
Well my dear crazies, my bone scan shows some degeneration of L5 and S1 but NO MALIGNANCY!!! Woo hoo! I already stopped and ate the most sinfully delicious cupcake with buttercream icing piled high and I think I am going to lobby for dinner out tonight too
Now that I do not need to spiral back into treatment I am also cleared to start back to work on Sept 15 (3 days a week, four hour shifts). I am beyond ecstatic. Although I feel like I could probably do more, my oncologist wants to set me up for success, so he is starting me slow. And since disability pays the portion I don't work I will take his advice to go slow! He is the best onocologist, I wish I could share him with you all!
A HUGE THANKS to all of you for keeping me sane or at least laughing. I really do appreciate it!
-
hip hip for you tonight, may I toast you with a glass of vino?
-
PTS.. I love farmers markets too!! Can drool over the fresh veggies for ages!
Katy.. Great photos !! So you went commando.. When I first read it I thought you went without your underwear. 😃 You look great.!! What a naughty kitty you have.. :-)
Mommy.. We are all there with you for your scan !! The waiting is what causes all the awful anxiety :-(
Slow.. BaHaHa.. My mum used to talk about Toe Jam as well!! HaHa.. I haven't heard anyone say it for years. Made me think, I should fit these old sayings into "conversation " with my grand - babies, so that they know what they mean.. :-)
Clarrn.. Thinking of you.!
Sula.. I bet those old dudes with their butts in the air wasn't a pretty sight 😱
Tomboy.. Hope you are feeling better!!
Happy to say this morning that while my mouth is still tender , I have woken feeling a lot better than yesterday.. Looks like I'll live to see another day.! 😃
-
Katy I love, love the farmers' market porn. Those carrots look luscious and my goaties would love to eat the tops. Great for going commando today.
Just kinda jumped in the middle of this thread. Have some trouble keeping up with everything on here but will try my best.
Yay Clarn for only degeneration. Doesn't it really tick you off when you can Yay at degeneration. Our non BC sisters just don't get that.
-
luvmygoats... Welcome !! Don't worry.. I think we all have trouble keeping up with everything on the thread.. That's why it's so much fun.. 😃

You jump right in and don't worry. We all have a difficult time keeping up!! I'm lucky I remember my name most days.Katy, I love the commando look!! You look beautiful.Great pictures....thanks for sharing them. Where did you put the flowers?? Coffee table??? Dining table??? They are so pretty.
Clarrn, That is awesome news!!!
Thanks for letting us know. I hope you enjoy your celebration dinner out. I'll have a glass of wine in your honor!!
Lucy, Now look at that....the first place your mind goes to when you hear the word COMMANDO!! I NEVER would have thought of that!!! hahahahahaha
My mom used to use all the old sayings, but she always got them wrong. She was kind of known for that, and we all used to tease her. I secretly think she did it on purpose. So glad to hear you're feeling better!!Ducky, Great big gentle hugs to you. Anniversaries are so very difficult. I'm sure this one is especially hard with you selling the shore home. Ok...I'm going tell you a joke to make you smile. An Italian joke because you are Italian by marriage, which makes you part of the wacky Italian club.
hahahahahahahahahaha.......I know...it's bad, huh?
Kathy, Why can't you post graphics??? Enquiring minds want to know!!
Edited: Found a better joke
