CT Scan (do-over)

Mom had a CT scan yesterday which in Ontario is a part of the process after diagnosis (they do a bone scan and CT scan).

Anyhow, this morning she got a call back from her nurse navigator to tell her that she needs a second CT scan because they want to check her adrenal glands and didn't get a clear picture of it.

So now she is really upset about this and thinking the worst that the doctor maybe found something else and it spread to her kidneys or something like that.

I guess that your mind goes to bad places while you are going through this especially with so many unknowns.

We don't have all of the details on the type of cancer yet as they will know more after her masectomy next Friday but the doctor told her it is Stage II and has affected some lymph nodes so from my reading it is probably Stage IIb.

Anyone have any advice on this?
