Decided to open this topic up after seeing the single life after mastectomy thread, along with the mojo w/o matrimony, but both don't quite fit the topic I'd like to see discussed. I see many posts with people going forward after an oophorectomy or ovarian suppression, dealing with issues within an already existing relationship. There are similarities that we all share, but I believe it is a whole other thing returning to a dating life or trying to start a new relationship after this stuff.

Thoughts?

talk about losing your mojo,,,,,, before my HX, my estrogen level was thru the roof, over 500,,, thought to be due to uterine fibroids. ( had mojo then!)  Decison made to remove it all, since I had estrogen positive BC.  Now estrogen down to zero,,, and I have zero desire for anything,,,,,,dating, sex,, nope.  Who cares?

Glennie I understand :-) Had cyst on my ovary in 2012 (which is when I'm sure my BC started developing too) & at the time wanted to jump any man who crossed my path! was insatiable!! going on the pill leveled me out back to normal & since diagnosis last December I'm in chemopause. Have had two 3-monthly implants of zoladex & the hot flashes & night sweats have pretty much stopped, so grateful for the short route through menopause symptoms, but my sex drive has stopped along with it...

sex was always a good reason to date, & now I don't see much reason at all. saying that, I've not had any inclination to consider dating since diagnosis, so haven't actually tested my theory in practise!! Can always hope there is a man out there who will revive my mojo :-)

Sorry to be so late returning to this topic. It makes me sad that I can't even get hyped up about dating any more. I felt pretty good on tamoxifen alone, but now I take Lupron and I pretty much don't feel much of anything.
