3rd Primary is IBC
Hi,
I'm 47 and just received my 2nd primary breast cancer diagnosis. (Other primary was uterine) I live near a good treatment facility, but before we could start chemo the cancer broke out of the breast wall. My left breast is black and open wounds. I'm on antibiotics and chemo but the triple negative inflammatory breast cancer progressed in a matter of days, not even weeks, and it's shaken me. First chemo of taxotere and carboplastin (?) went well, but this is so different than the stage 3 invasive I beat before. I have a good medical team and decent support but it's tough not to feel this is beyond us

Am so sorry to hear about this new and more scary cancer. I wish you well and hope you have continued strength to fight, which you obviously have had so far.......

MeMii, so sorry you are going thru a third primary. You are strong! I am also IBC triple neg, so I know what you mean by the rapid progression. But I am now NED, so do not despair. You can do this. Sending prayers and strength your way.

I haven't been able to post since my intial one so I must have made an error somewhere. None of my emails worked for password recovery. I've failed three chemotherapies. My cancer is now widely metastatic, but brain free so far. The bones have me at pain management, and the rapid progression has me thinking some hard thoughts. Tomorrow I start a new chemo. The plan is a clinical trial if this fails too. I'm thinking hospice. My dr is very against it but life isnt pleasant, it's painful. Its hard to eat or to play cards with my kids. Maybe it's time
