He's a nice big boy. Nurse Jet (a svelte 17.5 pound) approves.

Last rads today! I celebrated by getting a red velvet bundt cake, and then spent pretty much the rest of the afternoon napping. Watched a friend's CrossFit class last night, and it had me itching to pick up weights again. Thinking of giving it a try one of these days.

Did one hour VERY light elliptical yesterday. Make 10k steps just as I was getting into bed.

for a number of reasons, many of which are related to the heat and smoke/poor air quality due to nearby wildfires, it hasn't been a good week for me for exercise. Today however, it was cool and the air was fresh this am and I did two miles around the neighborhood. Yay for me! Will hit my 10,000 steps today. Determined to get on track this week with chemo starting in two weeks. I want to feel stronger before that happens...

    Have a good day all

Got myself to do 2 miles slow walking on the treadmill last night and 7 slow miles on the bike. I just kept going. This is do not like me.....used to run 3 - 4 miles......8 months later, this is all I can do. I did sleep better, but this whole thing sucks

Lynn- well done on the walking and riding. You did a lot!

So sorry about the heat, fires, and resulting poor air quality, putting the kibosh on outside exercising. We have been spared completely where I am.

I can't believe my luck. A lady at yoga told me of some trails maintained on city land up the street from my house. A friend and I walked up there today. Since it was a first time we did just the short loop. But it was a beautifully, somewhat hilly walk under a high canopy of trees, replete with wooden bridges over spring-fed stream. A little slice of heaven.

Wanted to share a great recipe I made last night. Makes a lot, so plan to eat for days, freeze some, or cut in half. I have been making Emeril's homemade enchilada sauce which is delicious. I used half a batch for this casserole. How will I get by once i'm back to work???

well you know you are welcome any time for a visit anyway, Allison. Oregon is beautiful. I know I've found my forever home here. It's cheap too, compared to the of the country and there's no sales tax

I'm sure he's worth his weight in gold in that role - and a few others as well.

I've been exercising but not on purpose. Averaging 7k+ steps per day during volunteer stuff and life. Lots of those steps logged as active minutes.

Eileen, to me the best exercise is one that doesn't feel like exercise, but is just a part of normal life. My osteopath said look, just walk an hour everyday, all will be great. So on days when I can't do anything else, I always think about that comment and just try to walk, whether it is around my office building, taking doggie on poop walks, however I get it in. Or Disneyland! Most brutal thing I have ever done. By the end of the day I feel like I'm walking on my ankle bones!

Theresa, same here. It's amazing what kind of mileage one can rack up just getting stuff done.

Katy, how's your air quality tonight? It bites in the valley!

KSusan-I am somewhat more inland than I was, but still the air quality is good. We had a nice breeze today, no cloud cover, nothing stinky. My allergies went haywire. My only complaint.

If you and your wife need a day to get out of Dodge, leave early one day and come for lunch under the wisteria. Serious offer.

Need very little warning, unless it's a PT day.

Our air is better today, but last night we got snow! 4 miles, 200 abs, arm stretches, 25 knee pushups. Goal for tomorrow- find a gym for radiated excercise!

littleblue we went and stayed at Tuchuk campground outside of Columbia Falls Montana one time. Then went through Wyomimg and the Badlands. This was in early August. Every damn time I drove over the continental divide, I hit snow. So I quit driving over high elevations and made my husband drive them. Bam, no snow. Go figure. I'm a snow magnet. I'm not surprised you already have snow

awesome, such beautiful country. Have also been to Jackson Hole at Christmas, so beautiful. Love the Tetons. Going back to Montana is on my bucket list. We get all our organic beef and bison from a ranch just outside Glacier National Park. They get their bison and raise them free range from the Blackfoot Indian tribes
