That's fine by me, Maureen! How about the rest of you dear friends???
-
Next trip should be in fall. Nothing is more beautiful than summers in Oregon so I am trying to stay put. Mom is back in the hospital with pneumonia and is moving to rehab this Tues, but caregiver and brothers have it all handled. I bet the vineyard is beautiful now. Have a wonderful time and keep me posted as to dates.
-
We'll miss you, Jo. However, the vineyard should be lovely this fall, too. Hope Mom is making good progress - pneumonia is such a bitch when you're older. If per chance you are in the area any time, let us know. We can try to meet up. And definitely will keep you posted on any dates we set.
HUGS!!!

I'm game!!!

Fantastic, Mary! So we're 3.
NancyHB and Cwayman650, are you able to come??
July 11 at 11 at the Vineyard.
Jo, we will miss you but lift a glass in your honor

Hello, Ladies. Four of us in Michigan got together today and, as usual, had a great time. Lots of laughs and strong friendships.
Left to right: Maureen, me, Carolynn and Mary (who is holding a sign saying "hi" to two who weren't able to be with us: Nancy and Jo).
If you're in Michigan or within reasonable driving distance of Jackson, Michigan, let me know. We'd love to have you at our next meet up. The vineyard is serene and we think it's perfect for us.
Thank you BCO for bringing us together!
HUGS!!!

YES, a very nice location and wonderful conversations Peggy, thanks for posting the picture...Looking forward to the next time! Maureen

Nancy did right by us finding the winery. I can't wait till next time either!
HUGS!

Hi! Not sure about hormonal therapy - haven't had the LX yet and BS said possibly won't need it, but I sure would like to meet up!
thanks, PontiacPeggy, for the invitation.
Kathy
-
Kathy, don't worry about profiling stuff you don't know. Eventually all will become clear (we hope).
You're more than welcome for the invite. Glad you're here with us. Perhaps we can work out a date after your surgery. One of the group has a wedding and I don't recall the exact date. So need to give her space for that!
HUGS!
-
Welcome (((Kathy)))…hope you can join us when we get together again…in the meantime if you have questions or updates feel free to contact us, we're here for you:) (((Hugs))) Maureen
-
Welcome Kathy! Another out-of-stater crashing the Michgan get togethers! I'm from Oregon but make frequent trips to check on my mom in Indiana. The Michigan Ladies have graciously let me join the group. I look forward to meeting you in fall!
Jo
-
GypsyJo, as you know we welcome ladies from ANYWHERE! If you can come to Michigan, JOIN US! And we're so glad you have been able to. It's been lovely getting to know you. I think we're blessed to be able to meet up, laugh, cry and enjoy the new friendships we've made.
HUGS!
-
Kathy...looks like your were scheduled for surgery last week...hope you doing okay? Thinking of you (((Hugs))) Maureen
-
Hi All! Looks like I will be in the Midwest Sept 23-Sept 29. How about a get-together at the winery on Sept 26? I don't have all my details yet as I will be arriving with my youngest daughter and 2 grandchildren. One year old Clyde will be meeting his great grandma for the first time. I'd love to see you all again!
Jo
-
Jo, that sounds wonderful! That Saturday would be the 26th. Anyone else available? Nancy when is your daughter's wedding?
How exciting, Jo, for the grandkids to be with great-grandma! And it will be special for her. Do take loads of pictures. I wish I had one of me with my great-grandmother who was over 100 when I met her as a 5 year old (at least I remember that trip, may have been others earlier).
HUGS!!!
-
Absolutely I'm in!!!
-
Great, Mary! That's 3 of us!!!
-
That date looks good for me so I'm in - look forward to seeing you!
-
Fantastic! I'll send out an email.
HUGS!!
-
The 26th is the date of my daughter's wedding! 😍. I'm so sorry I'll miss the get-together - especially with Jo being in town!!! Darn it. Y'all raise a glass of wine in my absence, and I'll think of you when I'm doing the Chicken Dance!!
See you soon(I promise)!
-
Dang, Nancy. What poor timing. But you'll have a fantastic day. Are you swamped with pre-wedding stuff to do? Or have you gotten everything done and sitting back with a big glass of wine feeling very smug?
BTW, we all want to see video of that Chicken Dance!
We will definitely miss you!
HUGS!!!
-
Just finished the broach bouquet this morning. Pretty much everything else is done. Remembered that four years ago at this time I was just starting this whole Stupid Cancer journey - and now I get to celebrate my baby girl's wedding day! Life is so good!!
So no glass of wine (yet) - but I'm off for a run. Miss you ladies. See you soon
-
Congratulations Nancy!!! So much to be thankful for...Looking forward to seeing wedding pictures at a future get together (((hugs))) Maureen
-
Way to go, Nancy! Looks like you have everything under control. Did you ever think that those 4 years would ever fly by? YES!! Have a good run!
HUGS!
-
Dearest Friends, DH ended his life's journey this afternoon. He had fought so hard for so many years and his body just wore out. I am thankful I was able to be with him when he passed. My biggest worry is that he would pass during the night, alone, and I didn't want that. His passing was peaceful.
I can't thank all of you enough for your kind words of support the past 3 weeks. They've meant so much to me.
HUGS!!
-
(((Peggy))) I'm so sorry for your loss...I am glad your were able to with him.You are in my thoughts and prayers (((Hugs))) Maureen
-
Thanks, Maureen. See you Saturday!!!
HUGS!
-
Hi Peggy:) Thinking of you and hope you're doing okay. Is the group still planning on getting together tomorrow? I can make it but might be closer to noon? Let me know...Maureen
-
Sure am planning on being there tomorrow. I'll send out an email. Thanks.
HUGS!
