Seroma in abdomen after DIEP

had lots of problems.....long story short.Ended up with DIEP last year,now have seroma in abdomen.Have had it drained twice ...further 2 operations,still came back.Ultrasound shows it has capsulated....like a rugby ball,and loculated...has gone into pockets....more surgery due next month...drains and then steroid injection .....has ANYBODY,ANYWHERE had this....am so on my own....have a feeling I am going to have to learn to live with it.

    We're so sorry for all the problems you've had! Does your surgeon have any ideas on how to fix it? Hopefully by bumping your topic, other members will see it and offer their experiences and feedback. You're not alone here!

    My surgeon,oncoplastic,has been superb....I had so many problems with my implants,in the end had 8 lots of surgery prior to my DIEP to remove,replace,with expanders,remove...then take strattice away.....however,am not wanting a second opinion as such,but will ask her if she has communicated with the plastics team....just feel so much on my own.Due to see her next month,for drains,under GA followed by steroid injection.There must be someone else in the world who has had this!!!thanks for replying,feel comforted by your response.
