INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Thanks I am so ready to find out, either way. Really need to be getting laundry and stuff done since might not be up to it for a few days after needle biopsy.
-
I'm still up too and its 3 am. I'm not going to be a happy camper when its time to get up for work. I just finished the center pieces for my dd bridal shower.
There will be a cooking lesson as part of the entertainment so I thought it would be cute to add the wooden spoons, but they looked to bland, so I marked them up a bit with a woodburning kit. Now they are polka dotted, lol. Well at least they are finished.

Morning girls! Now just don't go gettin' worried Susan.... I think I had been in the same boat you are/were.
ONE time as I was walking along, I thought for sure my bladder was going to fall out... Nope... it was something to do with bladder cervix and all the other stuff hanging around up there....
I HAD a vaginal hysterectomy JUST for that reason, because some Doc said that the problem was with my bladder... So he could "tie-it-up" and at the same time take out my uterus.
So okay fine..... We did this.... A month later, same problem... I waited another year, then finally had a Sacrospinus Ligament Suspension......... I think that means that they use one of your ligaments up there, and then make a shelf for your bladder, and sew it all into a proper place, whereas it doesn't want to fall out as you are walking through Walmart.
It worked! That was at least 25 years ago...... And everything is still up there.....
Okay, I read Boyd's thread.............
Now I am going outdoors.... It got light, and Janie brought me a bunch of perrennials! I'm so excited. I gave her that delicious chicken parmesan stuff from Costco and $200. Hah! I just love to make her happy, like she does me.......... Laters Gaters..........
-
Boyd- wishing you the best with your biopsy this week. I agree, you need to just know what is going on so you can either move on with life, or get your treatment done and then move on with life.
Hopefully you won't feel too bad from the biopsy. When I had the surgical one years ago, I was down for a few days due to the anesthesia, etc. but the needle biopsy has more of a local numbing. I just had to be careful of the biopsy area itself, felt fine otherwise.
Wishing you and easily procedure and good outcomes.

If any of you like a good dark chocolate but don't eat sugar, I discovered this tasty dark chocolate from Lilly's, made with the natural leaf sweetener, Stevia. It is not inexpensive, and found a health food stores like Whole Foods, Sprouts, etc.
I think if you read the story about this company and what they do, you may find even more reasons to like them.

Love the center pieces Deb. A cooking class sounds fun.
Bah, ok, I will go buy Lipstick!

-
Frey- that's funny. Do that and post pictures! Dare ya!
-
Double dare you. Haha
-
LOVE your lipstick Frey! HaaaaaaaaaahHAAAAAAAaaaaaaaa! You guys, I have a plethora of lipsticks, glosses, and well........you get the idea. Are you supposed to FINISH one before you get a NEW one? I can't relate.
Same with nice smelling lotions, and sprays. Still working on my cupboards.... If I ever bothered to check the "use by" date, it would be a miracle. And I just HATE to throw out perfectly good "things".... Even if they expired like 2 years ago. Thank DOG DD didn't get up into THAT cupboard. But I took care of it myself. She would rat on me to her Sister.... and there would probably be an intervention....
I just always must have thought there would be some horrific thing happen where we couldn't ever get out of our house! And we would have to stock up on every thing known to man...."just in case"...! My Parents were the same.... So we all grew up not having anything, then when we got enough money to actually BUY something, we over-did. And I still do....
But I'm trying to clean-out the spare garage, where we store stuff... and get rid of things we will never use again.... I will ask my friends, and whatever they don't want, just take it to the battered womans thrift store....

Good morning lovely ladies.
Debiann, nice center piece. Sounds like a fun bridal shower.
Ms. CHEVY( I don't know why autocorrect change to capital letters), take pics after you are done planting the perennials. Hope you are not affected by the contaminated river... just terrible.
Oops got to work now. BBL
-
Loverly, lunch was soooo fun. We should have shot pic of Sas wearing hers!!!! Next time?
Sas, scarey! Wasn't gate locked?
Chevy, yes you are supposed to pitch old stuff. Not sure about how that works with DHs.
Frey, don't bother with make up of any kind till winter. It just melts off.
Off for fun afternoon. Details later.

Frey - lipstick or more properly lip glosses like Burts Bees are one of my indulgences. Don't buy much purses or shoes but hard to resist a lipgloss. I read this years ago in Cosmo and thought it was hilarious. When you want to indulge, don't even think about a new car but you can afford just about the most expensive lipstick there is, not in every shade, but one that you love. My feeling about lip gloss. Don't like the goopy kind. Current fav though not colored is Yes to Coconuts coconut lip balm. My biggest gripe is that I will not buy anything that is not safety sealed and I think both Mayb and CG's are not and have some lovely colors. Burts Bees is more expensive but you can see the color and they're sealed. Chevy the only thing I ever finish is lip balm stuff esp. the one I put on at night.
Debiann - so when is the big day for DD? Congrats. Centerpieces for shower look wonderful. What are you cooking?
Ah cooking - used to do that. Today I think I'll make hamburgers because I have some corn that needs using up. Still have not had the oven on. Cool spell today only 98. Rain went thru parts of metroplex but not west of mid town Ft Worth. Pshaw as my DGM used to say, couldn't have been 20%.
Jazzy - I'll look for the chocolate. I keep a bar of Hershey's Dark in the fridge. Indulge infrequently but DH won't eat dark so I'm safe.
Good Golly Sassy. Hope nothing nefarious was up and neighbor has tape of license. I never parked in alleys but I did park in lots of strange places esp if they had nice deep shade while I was doing hospice. I know all the shady spots esp. on the west/sw side of Ft Worth.
Susan - hope the falling parts find their way back into their proper places. Admire you for the bike riding. I think I'd be a hazard to myself on a bike.
Boyds - about biopsy. Not doubt repeating myself. Mine was a total surprise. Doc could do it the day of the sono, I got boss's approval, did it and went on to see I can't tell you how many pts that day (a Tuesday) and my reg. schedule without a hitch. I was not required to do much lifting more like assist and could use my dominant non-affected side for that.
Spookie - Hope the "fun" is truly fun and was not said tongue in cheekish way.
Gads - had to actually put on something decent. Awaiting UPS guy who usually doesn't show until about 2. I have a neighbor who either runs a home business or is perennially broke because he visits her nearly daily. Now Chevy don't be reading anything into that like what the iceman used to do.

in Dublin, made it with no problems. Wasn't able to sleep on planes. We did get our room early, so we did take a short nap. Went and had fish and chips, so we are tucked in and waiting for 9 pm so we can get back to normal. Got the bus pass and will head in to town tomorrow. Probably ride the hop on, hop off bus and figure out what we want to see. Definitely going to trinity college and the zoo sometime this week.
Good luck tomorrow Boyd. Fingers crossed. I had mine done on a Thursday and found out Monday morning. I hope your taking someone with you. I wasn't allowed to go by myself so took SIL. First time I understood what a panic or anxiety attack was about. Hang in there
-
Frey, that creature does have large ears. Don't tell me that's an Eeyore!
-
Spookie and LMG. Scary yes, gate closed, never locked. Had to know routine and where shed was b/c it can't be seen from the street. Also, how to drive around the house. When he drove in he was desisive just like DBF would. I was going to take the dogs out, but figured he'd come in. Then got back on here and forgot about it. Last night when I asked DBF why he didn't stop in, he wasn't happy. He checked the shed and couldn't see anything disturbed. Neighbor is going to check his video record tonight.
Good luck tomorrow Boyd.
Smarrty, we are going to get to live vicariously, cool. Have fun. I'm a foodie when I travel. So, was DH. Always looking for good food.
Cling welcome.......................You came to see Rosie awhile back. She's not posting much. Feel free to leave a message. She lurks.
Frechfrye bah back
Debiann fall colors? Whens the wedding. We love weddings. Keep the stories and pics coming.

as promised, this is the entrance at our first hotel.

-
That is lovely Smaarty! Glad to see you have arrived safe and sound. Have lots of fun and take lots more pics for us all to drool over.
-
smarrty, so fun...have a great time.
Great center pieces !!
Chevy, I am just the opposite . I throw out before the expire date, cause you know, they could be wrong.

Parts still good, and Chevy, not worried at all. I don't even worry about my stage iv and chemo for life. I have sooooo much fun when I can and don't much worry about the rest. Life is life. Can't figure it out so I don't bother. It's all good.
Saw mom today, we had a good time, she was good today. Like to,see those days. Didn't get a chance to talk to brother, but that's ok, really didn't want to ruin my day anyway. Going to dinner with friends. They have the best drink at this place. Just new a year by me. Local guy owns it. The drink is some kind of margarita thing that is just delicious . Once I had three.....prob wasn't a good idea. But my friend was having three drinks , and she couldn't drink alone!!!! That would be to sad. I am such a good friend

-
Completed. Now I will stare at her for a month before I make changes.

Frey- outstanding! You go girl!
-
Rosevalley: Thinking of you. Glad you have a memorable trip to Florida. Hope you are comfortable at home.
-
Tonight at the bird feeder. Rufous hummingbird.
-
Jazzy, is that from your backyard?
-
Frey, did you paint that?
Rose, have been thinking about you too.
Ms. Smarty, beautiful giant bird cage!
Ms. CHEVY, forgot to mention that many years ago I found a single mushroom in one of my large planter pot that looked similar to this

and after a few days, it looked like this with more pinkish color

Scared me to deathwhen I first saw it. I thought it was someone's finger!
-
Ms. Sas, I think the glass piece you gave me has dual purpose not only as a candle holder

but also as a holder for mint bits.

It is so beautiful and delicate. Love it! Thank you

Alright , the better wedding pics taken, of course, by the professional photographer.
A fairy tale wedding:

"Belle" and "Mini Belle" anxiously waiting to walk down the aisle

If the bride is "Belle", then the groom is........??? Yup......the poor guy is the "Beast".

The Handler and the "Mini Beast (ring bearer)"

Oops wrong way-confused and nervous handler, instead of guiding " Mini Beast" to Brandon, the groom, he(the handler) took the little "Beast" to Brandon, his brother.

Flower Girl...Groom chokes in tears at this point at the other end

The Bride and her Father- notice the footwears...they are actually black socks!!!! That is my Dad for you. Hah! He didn't want to show off his "Fred Flintstone" feet and be bare foot like everyone else.

The nameless princes and princesses-Snow White (my sister), Aurora (bride's best friend), Jasmine, Mulan, Cinderella, and Ariel.

The Prince and his princess as husband and wife.
