Long thin hard mass
Hi everyone,
Nervously awaiting my appointment, I have been referred to the hospital from my doctor for a mammogram but I don't want to worry my husband/family before there's any need to.
i have been having pain in my left breast & chest. I found a long thin hard 'lump' that runs from the top left of my breast, down to the nipple. To me it feels like a vein has hardened. I am terrified as breast cancer runs in my family - my mother, grandmother and other female family members have been diagnosed at some point. I know by this time next week I'll know for sure either way, but was wondering if anyone has experienced the same kind of symptoms.
Thank you xx

MissGemma-
We want to welcome you to our community here at BCO, although we are so sorry for the worry that brings you here. We hope you find the support you're looking for during this difficult waiting period.
The waiting is truly one of the hardest parts! We know it's not easy, but try to stay focused on other things this coming week, and don't dwell on worst case scenarios. Stay off Dr. Google! We hope your mammogram goes well, and that the results are benign!
Please keep us posted!

I hope it is benign. I have a long hard lump as well, and its incredibly painful. I am in the same boat as well- but my lump was scheduled to be biopsied and instead was aspirated with no answers still. I wish I had good news for bothof us. But I will keep you in my thoughts! I hope you get good answers soon.

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for your support
Really got me through that awful waiting stage -I have a new respect for any woman waiting for results - such a worrying time.
Thankfully, after an ultrasound, they found that it was Mondor's disease. Such a relief.
Meganrenee, have everything crossed for you. Hopefully you've got the results you wanted by now.

how long did it take for your mondors to go away? I have the same symptoms and had an US on Friday. Waiting results but the tech said it was a phlebitis (mondors) -
Hi missgemme. I just had my mammagrame done and got a call today for two more test to be done as they have found changes etc in my left breast yet again. I go back this Friday for more test to be done. Wishing you a very best with yours. Deannie
