For those of you ER+ and PR+
Can I ask what your percentages are? Have no idea why I am interested in this, but I am lol. I am ER 100% and PR 58%

I am 99 percent ER positive and 74 percent PR positive.
-
thank you ladies.
-
100% on both ER and PR
-
ER 100%, PR 90%.
I am interested in data too - it makes me feel more educated about this whole experience.
-
>95% E/PR +

I see a lot of you have high PR. Mine is 58% - which I know is still considered strong, but I wonder if it makes any difference.

Nancy, I've read that the percentage doesn't really make a difference but if you're concerned about it please talk with your MO and don't quit asking questions until you're satisfied in your own mind. You might ask about the question of whether you metabolize tamoxifen well, too, if you haven't already.

I am 95% ER/PR Positive
-
ER 95%+ and PR 80%+

I JUST got my results - I am ER 97% and PR 92%. I'm also HER2 Borderline, so it is being tested some other way.
I really am clueless on this. Does this mean that I will likely have to have hormone therapy after I have my mastectomy? Will this affect my reconstruction potentially?
Also, does this have any affect on recurrance? What about in my other "non cancer" breast. Would you be concerned about that breast now?
FYI - I do have a call in to my breast advocate, but am waiting for her to call me back. This just drives me crazy until I get at least some idea of what this really means!
Thanks!

ER+ 100%, PR+ 100%, HER2neg
-
ER+ 100%, PR+ 100%, HER2neg

Mine were either both 90% or both 95%.
There is a new feature on our BCO profile where we can record this but currently it does not display with our dx and tx's. I wonder what the mods are doing with this data.

ER 87%
PR 95%
Her2 neg.

Right side: ER+ 99% & PR+ 75%Left side: ER+ 99% & PR+10%
-
ER 98% PR 83%

I'm 95% ER+ 20% PR+ and HER2+
-
er +25, pr +10, they didn't test HER2
I'm concerned with the low numbers. Seems closer to negative... And MO still wants me on Tamoxifen for 10 years. Seems positive is positive.
-
I think mine was low nineties ER, around 85% PR. Never thought I'd forget that info. Guess that's a good sign!!
-
I had multi-centric breast cancer (cancer in more than one quadrant) in my right breast. The IDC tumor was 85% ER+ and 40% PR+. The DCIS tumor was 100% ER+ and PR -.
-
thanks all - I do know that responding to therapy isn't determined by higher percentages, but for some reason I still wonder about that.
Nancy
-
>5% ER, >5% PR, HER2-. Hormone therapy has worked well for me. Any positive is a positive.

Good to know Susan thanks
Nancy
-
+ 90% ER / + 90% P, HER -
-
95-100% ER and PR positive.
-
What exactly does it mean to be ER and PR positive anyway? I thought it meant that the estrogen and progesterone that my body normally produces causes my cancer to grow. But today my doctor said that being positive is actually a good thing. I thought it was a bad thing to be +.
-
He may mean that it is a good thing because there are more treatment options available when you are ER+.
I think ER+ may have a better prognosis than ER-.
