Katy, I think Jack is welcome without question! And look at that huge yard for him to play in!! I'm so happy for you both!

Does Jack wear a Pet-ometer? ;) I'll bet his FitBit would show great sleep patterns!

    Yesterday - Boost #2 of 7

40 min. on the treadmill. Batteries for display died so I'm making an educated guess that it was about 4 mph, 12-15% incline

    30 minutes on the bike

    70 pushups

    stretches

    12+ plus steps

Nonetheless, I felt like a sloth all day/evening.

    Love, Jack!! And you, Katy!!

I hope he and you enjoy your new house for MANY years to come.

Jazzercise today. Lacking motivation. Made it to almost 10k steps yesterday.

Jazzercise sounds like a nice change, Allison. It also sounds as though we're all experiencing the dog days of August ;)

Oh, I have been doing Jazzercise for about 3 years now. You should try it if they have it in your area.

Jack is welcome (though Jet says, "I can do nothing for hours").

They do, Allison, but it's not as convenient as working out at home (I'm lazy that way). I do think the camaraderie would be fun. Maybe I'll check it out again and add it to the mix once a week or so. Thanks for the suggestion!

I used to do water aerobics and loved it but the center I liked closed its pool :( and I haven't found another that works out well. I miss that...

Too cute, Katy. I have been following this thread since it was started, but I was still having chemo, so have not been able to post much exercise. I have been sort of like Jet! However, now 3 weeks PFT and I need to get moving. Today I did a slow walk on the treadmill for 1 mile. A drop in the bucket to whst you all are doing, but I have to get going. Start Arimidex tomorrow and am scared of the side effects. I hear exercise helps.

Still have to get power line removed and have exchange surgery.......but I do see an end. Just thankful chemo is over, but recovery sure is slow.

    You all are an inspiration!

Welcome, mysunshine! We all start somewhere, and a mile of slow walking is great!

Taxol #14 this morning. Still waiting for PET scan next week and BS consultation the week after before they switch up the chemo or sentence me to the operating table. Not the most energetic day, but in an effort to not sleep all afternoon and be awake all night on steroids, I took myself to Chinatown (Manhattan) with a short shopping list. No idea what the distance was, but walking on crowded streets, juggling groceries, dodging left and right around grandmas and grandpas with string bags full of veggies, has to count for something! Treated myself to summer rolls with shrimp--delicious.

15-y-old is watching one of the Lord of the Rings movies, and I am about to water plants. Back up in the high 80s and humid!

9 miles. Jogged 2/3 of that. 100 crunches, 15 wall pushups. I'm afraid to progress the upper body stuff too fast..

So? Nine miles IS nine miles, Little Blue. ;)

I for one am impressed - and a little wistful/envious of knees that can still rack up that kind of mileage on a regular basis.

I agree, I don't care if it is 9 slow or 9 fast, it is still NINE! Woohoo!

4.4 miles is great too, so-she-did.

12 miles on the bike is great too!

2.5 mile beach walk and then sat on my ass staring at the ocean making Vitamin D. Therapy time!

    8/7:

    • (radiation #21)
    • 1.0 hr walk + stretches
    • .5 hr T (2.5 MPH avg) + stretches
    • Fitbit steps

    = 5.03 miles

Pretty tired and my armpit feels a little sore. Happy to have two days off from radiation.

Littleblue, yahoooo!!! Congrats! I am excited to get my foot out of it's prison after X-rays this week. Hoping I get clearance to run.

Allison, Yes, yes, yes!!!! Let's have a virtual party. Morning or afternoon for you?

I'm at the lake this weekend. I always knew we get a ton of exercise here without really trying. Yesterday over 10,000 steps and 25 flights of stairs - and I was only here 1/2 the day. Penny is in dog heaven.

eheinrich, You started T/C 2 months before me. So, if you had 4 treatments, you are 3 months PFT, I assume. How do you have the energy to do all that exercise? Are you feeling back to normal? 25 flights of stairs and 10,000 steps is amazing to me! I did1.1 miles on a slow treadmill today and could hardly make it up 1 flight of stairs. Then, took a nap!

Hi Sunshine: I've been feeling pretty well for a while now. The stairs are not on purpose. Our house has 3 floors. From the kitchen to the outside on the lake side is 3 flights. Then it's about 3 flights down to the water. There's 6 just to get from the lake to the house. Multiply that by many trips to walk the dog, play in the water & there you go. I took an hour long strength & cardio class at my gym last week that kicked my ass, so energy is relative. You'll get there though.

    Awesome, Eileen!

Karen: Not sure the exact time but I usually go around 10, finish about 1:30. You?

I have been a slug today. It is hard for me when the hubby and kids are around. It takes all I have got to get them going and to do what they need to. I just didn't have it in me today.

Rather fatigued, so a lot of water and a lot of protein, and now on the treadmill.

29.7 miles, 1,100 feet of climbing on my road bike today, 1,098 calories burned. So far this week 105 miles, and 4,016 calories. 4,700 feet of climbing this week. I'm tired!

Guess that justifies the home made French fries I'm making tonight!
