Waiting for a breast ultrasound

Hey I'm 19 and went for an xray not so long ago but my lump didn't show up but it's definitely there my doctor then booked me for an ultrasound because she can feel it and even see it because it makes the right side of my chest stick out. It's really hard and firm and doesn't move it basically just feels like one of my ribs I'm starting to get really worried about it even more since it didn't show up on my xray, I have family members who have had breast cancer in the past so it's really playing on my mind so im guessing what I really want to know is how did your lump feel and has anyone had a lump where it physically makes your chest stick out? Hope none of you think I'm over reacting,

    Hi Becky-

    We know it can be scary, but even with a family history of breast cancer, 19 years old is very, very young to be diagnosed. It's good to get it checked out, but try not to worry too much, as this will probably be a benign condition.
