Be Wary Of Articles Offering Natural Remedies To "Cure" Cancer
First of all- rant- there is no cure. Only treatment and hope it doesn't come back or show up elsewhere. Here's an unbelievable article on a website that says a lady with stage 3 colon cancer was cured without any chemo or rads. All she did was drink carrot juice every day. Really??! It's that simple?? Wow.

I def think everything you read should be taken with a grain of salt. I have read a lot about people "beating" cancer naturally. I do not discount their story.. it is theirs to tell. But that doesn't mean I will run out and do it. There is a great site called Chris Beat Cancer. He was a young man who chose to treat himself for Colon cancer using natural methods... he did have surgery but that was it. I do only skim some of his topics like how bad chemo is for you... since I am doing chemo and don't need to go down the rabbit hole of how horrible it is.. LOL But he does have some great tips for helping your body prevent the cancer from coming back. I absolutely believe that fruits and vegetables and healthy natural eating can play a part in starving off cancer cells. I too unfortunately do not believe that any thing is a "cure". My BC experience has opened my eyes to the money machine that cancer is and it has really convinced me that there is no way anyone is really looking for a "cure". Sure they are looking for better/easier treatments, but a cure would mean all this money that people pay for treatments would go away. NO ONE at these large multi million dollar Cancer facilities wants to the money to go away.......... sad state but it is what it is,

As with anyone, I'm continually bombarded by well meaning friend with links to these sites. I do read them, some are interesting. But a single person's experience is not a study.
I read where one woman claimed she was cured of cancer by eating a plant based diet. She had a very small tumor removed from her breast and opted out of chemo and radiation and 6 months later was still 'cancer free' and she was giving all the credit to her diet change. Honestly, I would give all the credit to the surgeon who removed the tumor. 6 months is not remission either. So good for her but to promote it as a cure for cancer is beyond misleading and you can bet if her cancer does come back, the place that was promoting her 'cure' wont apologize or admit they were wrong.
Once a tumor is removed, chemo and/or radiation is more like insurance. Not everyone will need it, but you don't know if you will or not. My chemo is first because of the size and complications of my tumor. They are still debating if radiation or surgery is next. I can feel, every week the tumor getting smaller, getting softer so I know that chemo works on my tumor. If I had a smaller tumor that was removed first, I honestly don't know what I would have done after. I have very young kids though so I suspect I would still have taken the 'insurance' of chemo and radiation.

I had a friend tell me, "When you are ready, I can help you address your cancer without any chemicals or toxic materials." She basically wanted me to do the "all natural" cure. I find this frustrating because for the vast majority of our human history, people have eaten organic foods and guess what? THEY STILL HAD CANCER. Cancer is not new. A healthy diet will certainly help in general, but I was not unhealthy to begin with. It's almost insulting, like an insinuation that if you had taken "perfect" care of yourself you would be cancer free.
Had a second friend tell me all I needed was baking soda and lemon juice. That's it! No chemo! No surgery! No radiation!
At this point, I just smile and thank them for the advice. It's not worth the energy to argue or debate.

Lord, spare us from our well meaning friends or give me the strength to respond charitably.
