hi Diana - I'm so sorry you have been diagnosed. It's scary in the beginning and even more so when you are pregnant I'm sure. There are a few women here diagnosed while pregnant and they had beautiful healthy babies. Hang in there. Hugs

Diana: Sorry you have to be here. You can do a search for the term 'pregnant' in the search field at start of this program and may find that very useful. Seeing what others have experienced and finding similar stories may be helpful.

Hi Diana,
There is a website for women diagnosed and pregnant, although I don't know it right off hand. A dear friend of mine was diagnosed at 12 weeks pregnant, 16 month old at home, age of 32. There are amazing things they can do for you. Chemo doesn't cross the placenta. They can do almost any treatment while pregnant. She had a very happy, healthy baby girl. Take your time, get all the info you need and I would suggest contacting a specialist. Good luck to you!

Diana-
We are so sorry you find yourself here. We know how scary it is, especially to be diagnosed while you're pregnant. We have a forum for younger people with breast cancer, and there's a thread there about being diagnosed during pregnancy. It hasn't been active in about a month, but the members who've posted there are still active, so you can post there and maybe connect with some of them via private message. You can find that forum here: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/27/topic/....
Please let us know if we can be of any assistance, we'll be thinking of you!

Hi Diana, I was diagnosed at 19wks pregnant, and my baby is 9 months old now, healthy and huge! I also have an older kid who was 2.5 at the time. I'm not gonna lie, it made for a pretty sucky pregnancy, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be when I was first diagnosed. Mostly, if you do chemo, you're just going to be really, really tired. Like, mind-numbingly tired. Ask for and accept a lot of help. I basically farmed out raising my kid, cleaning and cooking for like 3 months. Do you have any idea what your treatment protocol is going to be like?
