Couldn't live without my fur baby! Your beagle will be the best comfort for you. And welcome Midgie.

Talk me down ladies! Tell me I don't need a 3 rd dog.
Puppy mill bust in Alabama. Rescue group up the street has 30 of them. Maltese too. I WANT ONE.
Spookie wouldn't be happy. Kris probably would. DH, idk.
-
I don't see much difference between 2 and 3. You've been through a lot. I'm not gonna tell you no. GOFERIT!!!
-
Go for it Spookie!
It is always great to have yet another being love you and you love them. You have to look at it this way. ...puppy mill busted and 30 dogs end right up the street from you.
I think that is more than a cowenky dink. I think one of those lil dogs is meant for you.
-
Small white dogs usually get adopted easily so don't feel obligated. I have 2 now and can't see myself getting a third.....most of the time.
-
Love seeing all the new puppies and friends!!
Checking in today to see what Spookiesmom decided to do. It would be hard to resist one of those puppies. My ex-MIL had a couple of Maltese girls and they were the cutest little things! They were fearless and had great personalities.
We've decided to adopt Dottie from the shelter. My sis is coming down tomorrow and we're going together in the afternoon. I'm nervous, but really excited too. Maggie's been gone four months now so I guess it was time. Tank still hasn't been himself after all these months. I'll take a bunch of pics of Dottie in her new home tomorrow.
Midgie ... I loved your story, it made me so happy.
hugs

It's not looking like I'll get one. DH can be a PITA. And Spookie is sooooo rotten to Kris, probably make the new one miserable.
Yay for Dottie!!! I'm excited for you!!!!
-
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So happy for Dottie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Have lost of fun with Dottie Bren!

-
Hahaha! That is an hilarious picture!!!!!

Hi Guys,
Our first night with Dottie was a HUGE success! She and Tank slept in the living room together and did great. I won't let her on our bed, but she can get up on the little guest bed in my office. She likes to sit up there and jump on top of Tank! Bless his big heart ... he is really getting a work out with Dottie. He needs to lose a few lbs so this is wonderful. This morning, she was chasing a deer along the fenceline and stayed in the yard! I was so worried she would jump the fence and take off after them. She is such a good girl ... and really freakin' smart too. She really likes her doggie bed. I bought it for Tank and he would never get on it.
-
They look like they really like each other. Loook at those smiles!
-
WOOOOHOOOOO
HAPPY DANCE
-
a www, those two really made me smile. So happy for all of you
-
hahaha, that's a great pic, Spooks. How great that Tank and Dottie took to each other so quickly! YAY!! that is awesome. Dottie looks really happy on that bed.
-
So happy that Tank and Dottie became instant buddies and siblings!
-
I HAD a white poodle
-
OMG..................LMAO........
-
lol Yep, that one really had fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I hope your baby likes baths cause I am thinking someone is getting one.
-
A dirty dog is a happy dog. I have that on a tee shirt -
It's true!!
-
Thanks for the laughs and the dog pictures - I still can't get Dozer bathed - He sees water and runs the other way... Big chicken LOL... I took a bucket of water and washrag to wash him once. That is the closest I've gotten since he has joined our family...
-
awww, Dozer is such a big baby! Now my Jackson is just the opposite, after his daddy puts him in the kitchen sink, he just sits there and enjoys his mommy bathing him.
-
Hi Guys,
Wanted to let you know that Tank and Dottie are doing great. She's the silliest little love bug. But very smart and active. She doesn't bark much, which is nice, but always lets me know if someone is in the driveway. Tank is having a blast ... he really likes having someone to play with.
GMAfoley ... Tank's never had a bath and he's six years-old. I can't get him in the tub ... he's too big, and he runs from the hose outside, which is ridiculous cause he loves water. I'm going to give Dottie a bath in the tub this week. She's only 31 lbs ... so really easy to get her in and cleaned up. The lady at the shelter said she liked having a bath.
hugs

in summers up north Id tie dog to the nearest pole, or tree. Then wash. He didn't like it, but couldn't escape.

Sciencegal - I just found this thread and love it! I definitely feel closer to my little Oliver (9 year old bichon) than many of the people I know - I have gone through this journey alone as I have no family and honestly feel I would not have made it through these 3 1/2 years without him. He used to go to work with me and is now a trained/certified service dog so goes to all my appointments with me. We are, gratefully, a pack of two.
-
apackoftwo- that's a nice story. I'm glad you twohave each other.
-
Apackoftwo .. Your Oliver sounds adorable. Are you able to post a picture of him? So glad he's been with you ... our little buddies love us so much ... no matter what.
hugs
Bren
