On the 17th, I begin my Taxol treatment. I'm receiving the dense dose so treatment every two weeks.

I did well on the A/C with little to no side effects except a couple of pesky infections.

Any tips for this upcoming treatment?

    Hi tamkay123,

In addition to the helpful posts you're sure to receive here, you may want to check out the main Breastcancer.org site's page on Taxol, which includes a list of common side effects with the drug, and includes links to pages with tips to help manage those side effects.

We hope this helps! Let us know how you're doing!

Use a good nail hardener on your finger and toenails. I've heard using dark polish is good too. If you do dishes at all, wear gloves.

If you don't already have someone going with you, bring someone to treatment - the Benadryl knocked me completely unconscious lol! At least it was a nice nap!

Congratulations on being halfway there! I did well on AC also, I remember everyone telling me if I did well on that then Taxol would be a breeze.
