In recovery or beating the odds (and like others, the 'odds' are on my side) or warrior... everyone has their own language they prefer. So no offense intended, no judgement - whatever works for you, own it.

For me as I'm doing chemo and have so much more to go, I've already decided I won't be using 'survivor' term. My reason: 'odds' aside, I have bad luck and calling myself a 'survivor' or that when this is all done claiming that I've 'beaten cancer', IDK that's asking for trouble, a jinx. The pessimist in me I suppose. F&F already planning a 'post' treatment 'victory' celebration and I'm like, NO we're not using those terms. If and when I get there, it'll be the 'fingers crossed' party or something like that, nothing that'll tempt fate. YMMV.

msphil, you are definitely a survivor in the fullest sense of the word. And an inspiration, too.
