I wash before wearing. Some of the sizing they put in new stuff is uncomfortable. I love to thrift and usually, but not always, wash. Depends on what it is.
-
Smaarty, I like the nipples. Are they the Amoena brand? What size & color did you get. Keep us updated on how you like them.
-
Rose flew into Sarasota. That's about 2 hours south of me, and more for Sas. We couldn't do it, and I'm not sure Rose wanted to. She wanted all time with her mom. That's understandable.
-
spookie- crimney... biblical rains this morning!! Side ways coming down in BUCKETS- POOLS- OCEANS! It's been cloudy and rainy since I got here which keeps the heat down. My Mom has gone further downhill.. really sad. It's like we are both going out but in different ways. My brother took me on a drive to St Arman's (sp?) got wonderful ice cream drove around saw egrets, osprey, turtles, beaches and some huge lovely Sand Hill cranes on the way. Beautiful creatures. I have been taking lots of lasix which was helping. Yesterday my brother made a delicious shrimp scampy and crab cakes and we all ate together brothers, Mom and I like when we were kids only now we are all in our 50s and she 76- very nice. I guess today I am paying the price, extra bloated and kind of nauseous.. maybe too rich too much salt? Tasted so fantastic... ugh. Oh well.
Love that neat quilt. Nice new avatar Sas. Happy birthday and Happy anniversary to anyone I missed. Hi Patty! I can't hear for beans on the phone so usually avoid it.. Hugs to all. Be well.
-
Rose, Your dinner sounds lovely. The drive to St Armand's sounds like some great memories were created there. I am so glad you have made it out and are visiting your mom. Thanks so much for letting us know how you are doing.
Have fun creating more memories in the next few days.
Hugs!
-
hi Rose, me too ! I cannot hear on the phones, I get agitated trying to listen to the caller mumble, talk to fast, not speak into the phone... It's them , NOT me....lol.... I just hate the phone. I feel like a rude, cold, human being, but I cringe when it rings.
Sounds like a good trip. Great food, wildlife & quality time with your family..
Just went & saw Trainwreck.....raunchy, inappropriate & fun. Popcorn overload. Hope all is well with everyone.
2nd timer.......HELLO.....
-
Hahahahaha Rose
Yes, it's just a tad bit soggy around here!! Glad the trip is going well, St Armand Key is supposed to be beautiful. I've not seen it. Big bucks there.
Have a good flight home, and TAKE THIS DAMN RAIN WITH YOU.
-
Spookie, I just read the comfort dog thread. Ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Rose enjoy everything and yes please bring the rain home ! Hugs!
-
One of these days I hope to catch up with all you chatty ladies and tell you what's been happening.... Hoping it's before you reach 1000 pages.
I don't think Patty would mind me saying she's trying to get as much time as she can with DS's before they have to return to school.
Hoping you're all keeping cool in this hot weather. It's been very humid here lately for SoCal.
-
Yes Rose, please take the rain home!! We need West Florida dry this weekend for the wedding. So glad to hear you made it there and doing the best you can to enjoy the time together with your mom and brothers.
-
Hi 2nd! Thanks for the update on Patty.
🎼 It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood🎶 🎶 A beautifulday in the neighborhood......
-

I'm gonna get it AGAIN!!!!'
Frey, is it like this in the Keys? Maybe I need a road trip
-
Rose- glad to hear you are having good time with family. The food sounds delicous. I am sorry to hear about your mom's decline. I am glad you are able to spend time together. Creating some memories here as someone said. I hope the rest of your trip is just as lovely. Get some rest.
-
RosiePosie - thanks for checking in. So glad you're getting to spend time with your brothers and your mother. Ahh does Oregon need this rain as well?
Rain, rain go away and leave Florida alone. Send it to TX and CA. We're starting to get burn bans after flooding the month of June.
Yay that Patty's getting time with her boys. Sounds perfect for them.
Welcome to all who have arrived on our fun and crazee thread.
-
I came over to check on Rose. I'm a lurker from stIV. See other friends here too. This must be the happening place. Sorry I didn't come sooner.
I drank this every day during chemo. Taste buds came and went. No metallic taste though. Sleepy time tea is also good cold or hot.
Peel and slice 1/2" of fresh ginger. Bring to a boil. Let steep 10 min. Strain out ginger. Add enough water for quart or two of "tea". Can also add a green tea bag and sweeten as desired.
I couldn't and still can't stand artificial sweeteners.
Another great drink is horchata or rice water. You let rice soak overnight then put it in a blender with lots of water and a touch of cinnamon. Sorry I don't have specifics as I've never successfully made it but it sure tastes good on a hot day.
Good luck!
-
Sassy and all: have been lurking for a long time, like this thread. It indeed is a nice neighborhood! That day the wind was right, so landed in. Will return when not busy with making a living! Glad to hear news from Rosie, enjoy your family time. Eeyore is not in FL, black clouds leave FL soon!
-

Zills & Eeyore07, (sorry I said you were possibly a prank.)Tell us about yourself when you have time.
-
Rose, Bring enough rain back for WA to get some too. We've got a huge one that has closed the Pacific Crest Trail and numerous grass fires that must be put out before they spread. One took out 7 houses in the next county south.
Enjoy the family. I'm happy you were able to make this trip.
-
Ah, it is sooooo good to see you again Rose! Sorry you are paying for enjoying some food, but I'm glad to learn that lasix helps your discomfort a bit. You know I hope you have good times all the way through.
-
Thank you so much Zill! I was chewing on ginger last night and it tasted nice. I like the sound of the rice water. I have always not been too fond of milk. I had a glass of milk tonight and it tasted so good. Go figure.
-
Zill- welcome to our thread. I hope you will stay!
-
Ok Dune, I can't hold it in any longer. When I first saw your avatar, I thought you had on a plate armor. I was thinking hmm...that armor got to be so uncomfortable for her to tilt her head sideway to get in the picture....who in the world wears an armor now a day unless it's halloween or it's for a costume party? After examining the avatar close-up, I realized it's some sort of padding/ clothe for your bird to stand on. That's my confession for the day
-
Ok, looks like I lost my original post so here I go again. You ladies have been busy as I've been away from the thread for less than a week and I'm over 12 pages behind. I'm only half way through playing catch up.
(((HUGS))) to those who are having a bad time of things. Wish there was a magic wand we could wave to make things better for you. My heart aches for you.
Happy Belated Birthday to Sas and Chevy.
Enjoying our visit with our grandson. Went to the beach for a couple of days with him and DS. Grandpa and I took him to see Minions. Have a Nationals baseball game planned for later in the week. Glad DH took off this week as I have an appointment with the orthopedist and some PT for a frozen shoulder. I see them going to the water park and swimming. Should be interesting when he does his homework as neither DH or I read Japanese so we will be clueless when we check his work. (They go to school year round.)
Ok, I'm off to finish catching up with you gals.
-
Just lost my post too, Kathi. Children are wonderful. Glad you are enjoying GS. Ouch re: frozen shoulder. Since recon surgery, my left deltoid tighten up once in a while...kind of like charley horse, but on the deltoid muscle instead.
Ms. Smaarty- nice rack. I think the more pink ones will look nicer for your skin tone. So could I have those?? Hehe Don't forget to take the pic down.
Welcome Zill and Eeyore! I am glad the wind blew you in here. Yes, please do share something about yourself. I will start with myself....a bit about me. I am the MOST nearly sane person here. Ok your turn.
Ms CHEVY, can't wait to see a pic of your hard work. I hope you are joking about the blocks you plan to use.
Ms Sas, I feel guilty now for pretending to ignore you the other night. I could sense it you know???
Yay Frey, happy to hear you found something that tastes good.
-
- Loveroflife that's pretty funny. It's a towel, one over my shoulder and one over my pillow. He refuses to be house-trained. It's a small price to pay to be able to cuddle and get kisses.
-
I'm usually a hot mess. Chasing two youngins keeps me going. Tamox really does a number on my sleep but it's keeping the buggers at bay.
Flying home to Ky from Ireland (inlaws) this week. School starts next week. The boy is 6 and in first grade. The girl is 3 and starts Montessori. Fun times with the time difference of 5 hours.
I can only speak American and only when chemo brain isn't raging. Lack of sleep doesn't help I'm sure. Have a great Monday!
-
A "Hot Mess!" HaaaaaaaaahHAH! Zills, you and Loverly, with her "Nice rack" sound like guys.! I just laugh when I read you women! So they are like "pasties" ?? Or however you spell it? They look so REAL! I would have them crooked....... Do they slip, or move? Can you re-glue if they become loose-fitting? Are they espensive? I mean I use super-glue to hold those nails on, and I know they use "super-glue" to hold you together during surgery. I'm just intrigued.........
EYE could get some, and glue them on my "Rack"!!!! And put them in the right place! I mean the ones I have are rather down-trodden. Which means pointing down...But that just comes with everything else......
It's fun to have more gals around here! Zills and EEEEEeeeeeyore, along with the rest of us! Sass! It's confusing to me for you to keep being somebody else! I read it all, but then I see you have morphed! So did a couple OTHERS!
Rosie... GOOD to see you back........... !
The rest of you are on the last page.....Hope you all are doing okay..........xoxoxo

Right Way to do things

Who wants to swallow toothpaste
doesn't it say not to on the tube or box? I didn't know that 'Ink Cartridges' had a reset button! -
Z!!!!!! Welcome!!!!!!! It's crazy here, stick around!!!!!!!
Chevy, can I still do things I'm NOT supposed to do?
Loverly, is the wedding indoors, or outside? They are saying back to "normal" weather by We'd.
