Tumors grew during TC chemo - now what?

Has anyone else had their cancer grow while taking TC? I had bilateral breast cancer two years ago and had a BMX but no chemo/radiation. The cancer came back and I had a lumpectomy in April and then started on Taxotere and Cytoxan. I was supposed to start radiation this week but my radiation oncologist noticed something suspicious (that everyone else had missed) on my February PET scan. I had the PET scan redone and those suspicious spots are two areas of cancer that are now larger. (One in a mammary lymph node and the other behind my pec muscle.)

The tumor board is meeting again on Monday to discuss whether I need surgery, more chemo (probably Adriamycin), or to just zap it with radiation.

I'd appreciate hearing from others who might have experienced this same thing to hear what worked for them. This cancer must be pretty aggressive. I'm currently stage 3c and hope to not move on to stage 4.

wow. How frustrating. I did not have that happen, but know people who had that and they tried alternate chemo with the rationale that chemo is to kill any rogue cells that escaped ... If it did not kill the tumor, it would not kill the others. I hope they find a combo that kills them for good, but sorryyou are facing this again.
