    I went to the original article. Higher BMI and greater age were at higher risk for cardiac problems. I went through the article quickly but seems they compared older than 50 years vs younger than 50 years and BMI of 29.6 vs 25.7 kg/m2. I totally agree that the MedPage could do a much better job with this abstract. "The incidence of diastolic dysfunction during follow-up was 57%" ...of the study group.
