ILC, taking Letrozole and Ibrance

I have been diagnosed with Stage IV ILC, 7 years after the first time, which was Stage 3B. Seven years ago, I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. This time, there are 5 areas of tumors (breast, arm pit, back and adrenal glands). The one of concern is the tumor in the armpit, and it's inoperable because it's wrapped around nerves and blood vessels. So, inoperable, incurable, terminal but treatable, according to my oncologist. Has anyone else experiences this? I'm taking Letrozole and Ibrance in pill form, in an effort to shrink the tumor. Doc says these drugs work in 30-40% of women, and of that percentage, 70% have it work for about 20 months. Anyone in this same situation? Thank you.

So sorry that you are going through this - I do not have any personal experience to share. One of the ladies in our local support group is on Ibrance. Have you posted on the stage IV board?
