Anyone know anything about ONCOPLASTIC surgery?

My breast surgeon mentioned this as possible option. I am still waiting for results of additional tests. Had blood work, chest xray, EKG, and my breast MRI today. I was diagnosed last Friday with IDC, Grade 2, tumor size is less than 1cm, both estrogen and progesteron positive. waiting for final HER2 also. these are things I knew nothing about last Friday. any information would be appreciated.

    I just saw this. Yep, I know about it, but you have probably already had your surgery. You might want to join the reduction lumpectomy thread. It's a bit more active. Plus, if you read back, you might find helpful info. Here's the link:

    It was a huge surgery for me. My PS said to allow 1 wk of recovery for every hour of surgery. For me, that meant 4.5 week recovery. The first 5 days or so were really difficult. It got much, much easier after that.
