I'm exhausted from the stress, but the biopsy was not traumatic. Dr took 11 samples from new area of microcalcification which was not detected by machine, but by another radiologist from the practice. I have very dense breasts - but no other abnormalities. I have been getting mammography for many years. This is the first biopsy. Birads 4. Small cluster at 10 or 11 o'clock on right breast - not deep. I had hoped that it was an artifact From perfume but no. Waiting for Monday or Tuesday is so hard. Ace bandage around my chest with ice pack inside. He said 80% benign - to keep fingers crossed. What should I expect next - besides bruising

Hi neurotic, did you get the results of your biopsy yet? I myself am waiting for mine. Had a vacuum-assisted stereotactic core biopsy last Friday for two areas of microcalcifications in my left breast and the waiting for the biopsy results is the hardest part. I've already been down this road with DCIS in the right breast so if it's the same dx, I'm not scared or worried. Hoping your results were good.

Hi, has a hard time logging in to reply. Yes, my results are benign - Fibroadenomatoid, sclerosing adenosis. I was so consumed with worry for 2 weeks and so very grateful now. I hope that you have received good results, too. Please share when you find out. Sending good thoughts your way

Just had a vacuum assisted stereotactic biopsy today. First there was an issue as to whether or not they could perform it because micro-calcifications were very close to chest wall. After much tugging and pulling and squashing they were able to get a good picture and get me at angle where she felt she could reach it without having to cut me open. She got it and now I wait. I am in some pain now that the lidocaine is wearing off. Just praying that God will lead me where I'm suppose to go. Prayers to all

    hi zpw,

Tomorrow I finally get my results after having 3 suspicious masses surgically removed. The surgery went well and the doctor was amazing. The largest cut was curved around my areola, so it going to heal nicely. Yes, the wait is the hardest part. Good luck and please let us know how it goes. Sending peace and prayers your way.
