I'm not healing mastectomy

I had a double mastectomy with tissue expanded 5 weeks ago and have a deep open wound still. I'm so down and upset about it. I had some superficial Nerosis on one side and that was removed one week ago. I've been left with a wound that's quite deep and needing dressing twice per week. I can't have any fills until this settles. Ive had a hard time with chemo and then very bad fluid build up after mastectomy. I would love any suggestions on healing. I'm really sad at the moment. Thank you.

    What does your surgeon say? I was putting polysporine on my scar and it did dry. I could help but pick at it. I had DIEP after 4 months with new incisions that healed. Also some times aloe Vera can help wound heal.

    Thanks for your reply. The surgeon said it needs time to heal. I have silverdyne dressings on which help with healing but I worry it will get deeper. The surgeon doesn't seem really worried but I am.
