10 Years Cancer Free Anniversary
Greetings everyone,
Today is the 10th anniversary of the day I was diagnosed. I post this for anyone going through chemotherapy and wondering if things will ever be "normal" again. Yes! It will be a "new" normal, but you will feel good again. My new normal is living with the anxiety that it may come back. I have friends in my neighborhood or just people in the community who are being diagnosed all the time, and I feel nervous when I hear about that. I know how quickly life changes when that happens. I liken my new normal to that little girl in "A Beautiful Mind" that follows Russell Crowe around. He learns to ignore her. While I can't completely ignore the possibility....I have learned to cohabitate with it.
What do I do? Exercise almost every day. I don't eat perfectly every day, but I do try and succeed most days. I meditate most days.
Anyway, 10 years has passed and I'm okay. I hope this helps you all picture it for yourselves.
With Love,
Shannon

So glad to hear you are doing well after 10 years . Prayers that you have lots more to enjoy . Encouraging to us that have been recently diagnosed . There is so much dome and gloom concerning the TNBC . It's good to know there are some survivors that are doing well. Thanks much .
