Pinched nerve or bone mets?
Comments

I've been wondering about this too.....do those with bone mets have a history of back problems leading up to the dx? I've been dealing with shoulder problems for a few months and now I'm feeling pain in my actual spinal area. It feels like pressure/ache pain there, it's an unusual pain that I've never had before. I don't feel like my MO is really listening to me about this and when I called last week to tell the nurse it seemed like they were trying to question me about why I was asking for a refill on pain meds.
Anyway, not sure what my point is other than to say these posts resonate with me as well. ((hugs))

I can't believe it's already been 4 months since this whole thing happened. We are at what feels like the crossroads this weekend as the follow up MRI that was recommended after the clear PET/CT "to rule out a developing lesion" is Monday morning. Her discomfort is still there but we knew that as the final radiologist said that this could easily be degenerative disc disease. My wife says that it doesn't hurt anymore than it did 4 months ago and that it really isn't pain per se, more of an awareness.
The thought that is keeping me positive is that I can't understand how a developing lesion that could not be picked up on bone scan or PET/CT could cause discomfort from November to February and now get worse 4 months later?
So hopefully that is the case and we will truly be able to exhale for a while Monday afternoon. She has an appointment with her radiation onc 2 hours after the scan so we will know that day.
I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th.
Best to all.

Thanks for letting us know about the appointment Monday. I'll be praying and thinking of your wife and you. HUGS

Going to bed now.
Scan is at 7:45am CST and onc meeting is at 9:45am.
Good wishes to everyone tonight.

So DW's RO appt for results was slotted for 20 minutes ago and I haven't heard back yet.
Getting very nervous because good news does not take much time to give.

Als, keeping you and your wife in my thoughts. All my doctors run late- in fact, I've never been seen on time so hopefully this is the reason. Hugs

All clear, nothing changed and they said if anything it has healed some.
Her RO spent a little extra time with her going over follow up schedules now that she is coming up on her 5 year mark.
Thank you and best wishes to everyone.
