    my MD did a skin sparing surgery, and left me with a ton of skin to make reconstruction easier, I am not doing flap or DIEP ETC. I'm concerned about how much skin is there and getting a temp prostheses to cover my breast area. I was fairly large chested. I had bilateral mastectomy on Tuesday of this week and at some point need to go back to work and would like to have something resembling breasts.

    I would just get a padded bra - you know, the kind that the cups hold their shape whether there's something in it or not - nobody would know the difference. Make sure it's soft and comfortable and no underwires.

    If you are worried that the cups will squish flat when someone hugs you, get one with a pocket (many bras have pockets for removable foam pads) and put a little soft stuffing in there. But honestly that has never been an issue for me, the cups just pop right back into place if they get squished, and nobody notices.
