Hi ,I have only been on here one time.since than I had double masectomys on april 29th four months after being dx with breast cancer in right breast. There was a 2cm tumor and arising in the background a smaller one but invasive.Than I was told that I was positive er positive and pr positive. So went back to onco three three wks ago and she had my onco type test that was high 49percent chance of recurrance. But the hormone status changed so she sent it off to a new lab and it came back triple negative. She wants me to start chemo, adriamycin, cytoxan and than taxol weekly for 12 wks .She said Im going to be very sick. How many days will it take for my hair to fall out cause I wanted to donate it to locks of love first. Also can anyone give me advice on this treatment. Is it real bad now to be triple negative. Are these very harsh chemo meds Im getting.Does all this sound right .Than I was told I had multiple little areas of invasive carcinoma all around the 2cm one. Thanks in advance lynn

Hey there! So sorry you have to join us, but we are a great group and will be here for you thru thick and thin! Everyone is different, but it took about 2 weeks after my first chemo for my hair to start to fall out. I shaved it before then and donated it. That's a great idea, and good for you! Everyone handles chemo differently. I was weak, sore, and nauseous during AC, but was able to work almost full time, mostly keep up with chores and walk for excercise. It felt like the worst hangover you ever had combined with the flu. So....not fun, but doable. You may find Taxol easier. A lot of people do. You should find your months chemo group on here and connect! You will find all of us very welcoming, and many ladies are just fountains of knowledge. Triple Negative is very beatable, and chemo is very effective. You can do this!
