Treat for Rads staff when finishing?

Options

As I'm coming down to the end (only 4 more!!), I'm thinking that I want to take something to the Rad department. There are 6 techs, maybe 4 nurses, the Onc, and I'm not sure who else. I've been thinking cake, cookies, I just don't know. But if I'm going to do something, I need to decide quickly so I can get it ordered.

Did anyone take (or plan on taking) treats for their Rads people when they finished?

I didn't, but saw others do it. I talked about Spookie so much they wanted me to bring her in. So I put her Spoiled Maltese dress on her, and she went. They were all smiles, lovin on her.

I did. I brought in a big box of See's candy. I gave a smaller box to my RO and one to his nurse. The big box was for the 3 techs who made my treatment a breeze.

I just got a couple of cookie platters from a local bakery. It was easy for me and they enjoyed them.

I did. Starting with 10 to go I had funny countdown pics that I printed out & wore on my body. We all got a kick out of it. So on the last day it was 1 to go, and when I was done, ZERO!

My treatment was in the morning so I brought donuts and Lifesavers. My tech gals, nurse, and administrative gals rocked my rads experience. I absolutely loved my RO. It was a small gesture on my part to say "thank you".

I know for a fact that the rads people all love chocolate.

I did--the whole team was great and so sweet that a large box of gourmet candies seemed highly appropriate.

Great ideas, all! I don't know that we have a place for gourmet candies, here, but we do have a gourmet cookie store, so maybe I'll get a variety from there to take on Tuesday.

I also want to bring a cake to work on the day after I finish to show my appreciation for my coworkers and friends who have been so supportive. I don't know or expect that DH will make a fuss (I don't think he really gets how hard this part is), but I'll have my own celebration!

I'm planning to bring in a fruit tray when I complete my treatments (hopefully this week). My skin underneath my breast has opened so concerned that I may have to wait to finish treatments even though I only have two to go. 😕. Has anyone else experienced

I did! When I began treatment, the rad staff gave me a tote bag with the name of the cancer center on it (what a souvenir) containing a bathrobe, a water bottle, and a binder for medical records. I responded on my last day by presenting them with a tote bag from MY workplace, which I'd filled with vaguely healthy treats: teas, nuts, dark chocolate, fruit. And I included a thank-you card. They were all so kind and so efficient, and that's got to be a hard job.

Dakjo, I didn't have any skin problems. I hope that didn't hold you up and you were able to finish this week!

    Larkspur, great idea!

I ended up taking two dozen Gigi's mini cupcakes and they said that they loved Gigi's, so that was good. I also ordered a cake from Publix and had a thank you party for my coworkers. That was a lot of fun.
