Dark circles and discoloration

Hi ladies

I just finished my last chemo (tchp) about 10 days ago. I had started having some discoloration of skin on my cheek bones and eyelids about a month ago and now that whole area around my eye is a big dark circle.

For those of you who had this side effect, how long did it take for it to go away after your last chemo? Any tips on things that could help speed up recovery?

My eyes also keeps running and I keep touching that area so that's not helping either. I do use makeup and concealer when going out of the house, however with the runny eyes the makeup does not last more than half an hour.

Thanks!

    • Call your Dr! No one here is able to tell you what is going on - we are not medical personnel who are actually seeing you.

While I agree that you should call your doctor or chemo nurse about your side effects tomorrow, Monday, I can tell you that my eyes went through periods when they ran continuously and I had to keep mopping them.

I did not get any discoloration around my eyes. Please check about that to be sure it is not out of the ordinary. Chemo is powerful stuff and reacts in different ways with each of us.

    Take care.

to close the loop on my experience for anyone who may have the same issue, it took about 6 months but the discoloration disappeared. I used vitamin c serum around the eyes but really don't think it had an effect, just time

My dark circles seems perminent, I noticed them during chemo and 2 years later they are still there. Concealer is now a must! That and eyebrow pencil.

my eyebrows did not come back fully either, I still have to paint them. And my poor lashes they are about half the length and straight and not as full

slv maybe try the vitamin c eye serum, I didn't think it did anything but maybe it helped, it is for discoloration. I got the perricone one in November and still have half the bottle. And I use it on my chin too, it has definitely helped there no more redness from rosace
