oncologists in Florida, preferable South Florida

Does anyone have a recommendation for a medical oncologist (specialty:breast cancer) in Florida. Preference South Florida. I have done quite a bit of research but no one stands out either by education or reputation.

And if you have been engaged in a search for an oncologist, what criteria did you use.

    hello,

    I started out in miami at Sylvester Cancer Center. I was put on a trial drug last june. I now see the principle investigator of the drug.

    She is awesome....Reshma Mahtani at Sylvester Cancer Center in Deerfield Beach. The drug i am on trial with has now been FDA approved.....Ibrance. it along with femera have gotten me stable so far.

    I think you would be very pleased with her is is very thorough and sweet and understanding.

    I drive from north miami just to see her.

    My dear friend also has Dr. Mahtani at University of Miami Sylvester in Deerfield.  She loves her and highly, highly recommends her.  My BC was 1 1/2 years ago and my oncologist is Dr. Christina Gomez at Holy Cross but she is focusing on pancreatic cancer now.

    F you were in the Tampa area. I would tell you to go to Dr. Rand Altemose. He is with the Florida Cancer Specialists. I have known him for 30 years and not only as his patient but as an Emergency Room and Intensive Care employee and I have seen the care he has given all his patients.
